Gorgeous history museum with many exhibits on show.
Unfortunately they don't offer an audio guide in English, but there are plenty of English language info plaques.
There are also many touch-exhibits, which is fantastic for accessibility and sensory experiences.
Really enjoyed wandering through the large halls and taking it all in while exploring Hungarian history.

Usual exhibition is as you expect: Neolithic-Roman-Middle ages-World wars
But it is always nice too see history of different countries. The collection of golden and silver items is astonishing. From Roman Empire to the Hungarian monarchy. They are really well preserved.

Not everything is on English. There is about 40% (my opinion) of exhibited items that are explained only Hungarian.

Great experience! 100% recommend.
The only advice is to prepare yourself, it is a very big museum and you will need small breaks so your attention does not go out.

We visited the gardens and skipped the actual museum. We found this large open space randomly set in the rear of the busy streets and large fronts of the buildings. A few statues around the place and open spaces.

Very nice and interesting museum. Too bad most employees don't speak English, but then again maybe it's mostly meant for Hungarians. The staff were helpful in getting us in since my wife can't climb or descend stairs.
