I would highly recommend the Inn at the Roman Forum. The location is wonderful and right in the heart of many activities, restaurants, and popular sites. The staff is exceptional. My husband became ill while we were over there, and they assisted me greatly. The bellman even accompanied me to a nearby pharmacy to help me translate our medical needs to the pharmacist. The concierge was always available for anything that we needed and went above and beyond to secure a local health clinic so that my husband could seek medical attention. The rest of the was amazing offering very personalized service. We really enjoyed breakfast each morning and being greeted every time we entered and exited the hotel. I look forward to returning there any time we are in Rome again.

This was probably a much nicer hotel in 2019. There's a little altar in the reception area with Costco award plaques, but the most recent is from 2019 and it's a perfect summary of the state of the hotel. It used to be much better and now... not so much.

The hotel's location is fantastic, as the name implies. Staff is great, shoutout to the woman covering the night shift my second day, she gave me a list of churches with Caravaggio paintings and other equally fantastic museum recs. Also thank you, reception man who sent someone to lug my bags up the hill when the taxi dropped me off at the wrong spot. Staff at breakfast was also fantastic.

Things about the hotel look run down. It didn't feel dirty, there was always someone around cleaning something, but it was battered.

There is no restaurant in the hotel, the breakfast is served in a sort of dining/lounge area with a small kitchen attached. The chairs are pretty uncomfortable and meant more for lounging with a drink than eating a meal at a table. The tables are very low
coffee tables and not dining tables. A couple at breakfast my last day had to switch out their chair, one leg was almost completely unattached and about to fall off.

I was upgraded to an apartment and it smelled very strongly of air freshener. Kind of the thing you put out to hide other
smells. The air conditioner cover fell in the living room (they
absolutely offered to fix it on the spot and couldn't because
I'd left the do not disturb sign on the door, ultimately this
was just a cosmetic thing, AC worked perfectly). Also the smart
TV turned itself on randomly. Twice. Hopefully that's an
electricity quirk and not a ghost 😁.

There was mold in the shower grout, the kind no amount of
cleaning gets rid of because you just need to re-grout. It felt
a little like visiting an older relative who can't see so well
anymore and so things are starting to decay. Overall, the apartment was very well stocked with a laundry machine and
even detergent. There was also an awesome outdoor terrace I
inspected once because it was cold as heck. Once construction on the nearby structures is done and the scaffolding is removed, the view of the skyline from the hotel will definitely improve.

I loved the staff and the central location, but I probably
wouldn't stay here again.

The hotel is highly acclaimed. Michelin star + 5 star hotel.
It definitely did not live up to expectations, with well worn rooms, leaky bathrooms, dirty grout, windows that didn’t shut and lights that didn’t work.
Breakfasts were incredibly average, probably the worst I have ever had at a hotel.

TLDR:
The decor was average and the location was fantastic.
But it was not worth the dollar paid.
The staff were very friendly.

The Inn at the Roman Forum provided our most comfortable night in Rome. The bed was beyond perfect, and the shower was exquisite. After a good nights sleep, I was shocked (not really!) that the best was yet to come: Their breakfast. Breakfast was fantastic and their American Coffee was somehow better than any coffee you can actually purchase at any restaurant I have been to in America. Thank you for your hospitality! We hope to return someday.

This hotel was AMAZING. 10/10 recommend!

Staff - extremely helpful, kind, and thoughtful! We interacted with several staff for different reasons; check-in/out, breakfast service, printing needs, and general requests. We were checked in promptly (our room wasn't ready because we were early so they expedited it and even upgraded us because it is my birthday), the breakfast service was quick and the wait staff were so kind (they even brought out birthday tiramisu), and any general requests were met with smiles and reminders that they are there for us. They even made restaurant recommendations so we went to one and it was delicious! We loved the staff and thought their service was the best we've ever received!

Breakfast - The breakfast was phenomenal! It was full service and the menu had multiple options from general American food to more Italian staples. You have lots of options and they were all delicious! We had fried eggs, scrambled carbonara, omelettes, pancakes, French toast, fresh orange juice, hot tea, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something...The point is, there's a lot to choose from. And again, the staff were amazing.

Location - The location is perfect. It's just a few blocks from the Colloseum and even has its own section of the Roman Forums. (Which are really cool and we sat in there with welcome Tiramisu they made in house while we waited for our room!). We walked an hour up to the Vatican and forty minutes down to Travestere. Everything most people visit are between those areas. It was about a 30 minute walk to the Spanish Steps - and you could stop at the Trevi fountain on the way - so lots to see within 30 minutes or so. The door is a tad hard to see but it does have the logo on it. I'll add a photo. There are plenty of local restaurants nearby if you go away from the Colloseum.

Room - The room we stayed in is a Junior Suite. It was fantastic! The bed was massive and so comfy (it had a foam topper that was a dream!). The tv has about 2 english channels so hopefully you like Dateline and Shark Tank but this wasn't a problem for us because we spent most of our time out. Italian SpongeBob was a fun experience, though. We had plenty of space, a hot kettle, and welcome wine. The A/C was in perfect working condition and we loved how you put your key card in the switch at the door (maybe this is common for Europe but it was a first for us!). It saved energy and we never misplaced the card. The bathroom was a great size and I will miss that shower head dearly! It was a waterfall style and the water pressure was *chef's kiss* amazing.

Again, 10/10. This place is fantastic and the staff can't be beat. Stay here - you won't regret it!!
