WOW what a stunning hotel. The decor is very stylish, the rooms are amazing and the staff absolutely wonderful. Aneta checked us in, she was brilliant,  so charming and really helpful. The free drinks and nibbles served between 6-7pm was a lovely touch. It was so nice to come back from a busy day and enjoy this in the gorgeous lounge area. Agnes, who served the breakfast was lovely. Fresh bread, gorgeous pastries, lovely meats and cheeses,  fresh fruit salad and a choice of cereals, what more could you ask for. We will definitely be back. And for those of you who are looking for a hotel in Florence, look no further.

We stayed here 4 nights. Location was perfect and we loved the style - like a chic NYC boutique hotel. The view of the Dome from our room & bathroom!! was a beautiful surprise. Service was excellent and the breakfast was perfect. Our room was clean and tended to daily. Staff available 24/7 but not on site after 8pm.

This was a great find with cute, clean, artistically driven rooms. Easier to find than some review makes it out to be!  The most challenging part is entering the sliding glass doors as there is only a code to enter. However we were expected and let in by reception within seconds of encountering this barrier. Otherwise the service was over the top!  Atena was kind enough to handle our enormous luggage and brought it to our rooms. We needed to leave our luggage the last day to do some last minute shopping and the hotel took care of it for us!  The location is incredibly convenient to walking around the city. Ponti vecchio is less than a fifteen minute walk as is the train station. Great location and will return in the future!

Horrible Experience -(€50 late check-in fee!)

This was hands down one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything about this place was awful.

First of all, the room was filthy—dust everywhere, the bathroom was full of mold, and it was freezing cold. It was clear the room had not been properly cleaned or maintained in a very long time. Absolutely unacceptable for a hotel!

To make matters worse, we arrived after 9 PM only to find the hotel completely closed. No one had informed us that there was a cut-off time for check-in. I had booked through Booking.com and provided my email and phone number, yet there was no communication about this. We were forced to wait outside in the cold for 30 minutes, and when someone finally showed up, they charged us a ridiculous €50 late check-in fee! I’ve never even heard of a late check-in fee at a hotel before—it’s absolutely absurd.

When I questioned this at the reception and pointed out that this policy was not mentioned anywhere on their Booking.com listing, the staff was shockingly rude. The receptionist told me, “We are not your slaves to work at night, and you are very rude for checking in late.” They also blamed Booking.com, claiming this is a common problem when booking through third-party websites. This kind of unprofessional and hostile attitude is beyond unacceptable.

The staff in general was incredibly rude and unprofessional throughout our stay. If we weren’t only staying for two nights, I would have left immediately and booked somewhere else, but unfortunately, we didn’t have the time to deal with the hassle.

To top it off, we had coffee at the hotel, and the milk they used was spoiled and sour. When we pointed it out, they realized the milk had been left out and had to open a new carton. How do you even let something like that happen?

Florence is a beautiful city with so many wonderful hotels to choose from. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. It was a nightmare from start to finish!

It starts with a bummer- There is no convention hotel entry, but there is a request on the door to call a hotel phone number. When you get through, a person opens the door through the intercoms and instructs you to go to the 2nd floor. But Europe doesn't count the ground floor, and on the second floor doorbell is an angry note "Not a hotel!!! Do not ring!!", so you go further up, remembering the floor count particularities. The staircase is long and steep (or elevator, if you already know better).
Then you need to use a WC after reaching your destination - and it is behind the closet door, in the closet space, 5 feet across the check-in desk (which is literally, the writing desk)🫣
Then you are told that the earliest to get your 30€ valett car is 7:30 am. Luckily, it was fitting our flight schedule.

No full restaurant or room to spread during bed weather, as the usual 4 stars hotels offer. :( Those were also minuses.

We booked a more expensive room "With the view to the Brunoleschi Dome". Anyways, we could see just a very tiny tip of the upper part of it from the window🧐.

Hotel decor is old-world nice but modern and clean, but some of the "Florence canalisation stink" was present now and then and bothered me, but not my husband.
Wallpapers use makes an intended trick to fool the eyes and make rooms and corridors look roomier.
Front desk people (during their open hours!) are very eager to help and assist and very friendly, and the same goes for the extremely accommodating nice breakfast lady.
Entering the locked massive front building doors by the keypad with the code at 9pm was a bit tricky, as we kept forgetting that one special character, thinking it's not the one to be keyd-in. It looked not at all similar on a press-pad.

There were still no front desk people at 7:30am, and our pre-requested car was given to us 14 minutes later than we've requested the previous day. We had to catch a flight- so it was the point of the unnesesary nerves.
