We were told apple pie is good here but we didn’t get to dessert.  We ordered too much appetizers.  Bread and truffle butter was on the house and it was good.  Overall it was good dining experience.  Service was good.

Authentic fabulous dutch restaurant and very friendly staff!

It all started with bread and truffle flavoured butter. It continued with a fish soup which was a far above average experience and it finished with the fish of day (slightly grilled sea bass filets) which was absolutely marvellous (well worth the detour for Michelin connoisseurs).

After all this … no surprise that I highly recommend the restaurant Van Speyk.

Me and my partner had a brilliant meal at Van Speyk and couldn't recommend it highly enough. The food was fantastic (especially the beef stew and Bitterballen Garnituur). Service was good, all of the waiters were friendly, helpful and polite. The decor and atmosphere was also nice. If you're looking for somewhere to have a nice authentic Dutch meal in Amsterdam with your partner or a group a friends this place will be hard to beat.
