A hidden gem! Following on from what other reviews have said, it's a real pleasure to find this free gallery that is peaceful and has such lovely and varied art. The Evelyn De Morgan exhibition was an eye-opener and I also enjoyed the London-themed artworks. The amphitheatre is obviously a bonus! The facilities such as the cloakroom and toilets are excellent too. Finally, I had a really warm welcome from Gill at the ticket/gift shop who took the time to give some background on the exhibition and what not to miss. Altogether, a really enjoyable couple of hours well-spent.

We loved this place ... Came across it by accident and thought we would pop in.
The art collection is amazing... We loved all the London art by different artists and the way it took you through the years, different perspectives of the same city.
There was even a Constable on show, unexpected, you can get so close to it, the descriptions attached to each work of art are really helpful and very informative.
As well as the art on show, there's the remains of a Roman amphitheatre in the basement!! Wow what a place and all for free, can't believe we didn't know about this place.
The whole area is rather beautiful, all the buildings on the square are stunning so worth having a wander here.

The atmosphere is peaceful, making it a perfect place to escape the city’s hustle while enjoying beautiful artwork. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the experience. If you’re in London and love art or history, this is definitely worth a visit!

A hidden gem. Beautiful  works of art in a spacious and relaxed venue. Very friendly  and welcoming  staff.
Gallery is free, but there are plenty of places to make a donation.
The descriptions  accompanying  the art work is spot on, informative, clear and concise.
Very clean and spacious toilets and cloakroom  facilities.
Current exhibition  was amazing, we will definitely  come back again to see the next exhibition...

A very beautiful little gem of a gallery & museum.
Each room is a wonder in its own right, together they form a well thought-out journey of artistic histories throughout London and in arts in general.
