Osteria Romana is hands down the best restaurant I have ever been to! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was exceptional. But the real star of the show was the food—absolutely incredible! Every dish was packed with authentic flavors, perfectly cooked, big serving and beautifully presented. You can truly taste the passion and quality in every bite. I will definitely be coming back. Chef Filippo and the whole crew were very accomodating and gave us excellent customer service.  If you’re looking for an unforgettable Italian dining experience, this is the place to go!

Mixed Feelings

After reading excellent reviews, I decided to visit this Italian restaurant, and it didn’t disappoint in some areas. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, tucked away on a quiet road near Knightsbridge—a lovely setting for a meal after some shopping.

The oxtails were definitely the highlight of the evening—rich, tender, and full of flavor. However, the truffle pasta was a bit of a letdown, lacking the depth of flavor I was expecting, possibly due to the quality of the truffle. The cheese aubergine was unfortunately way too salty, which detracted from the dish and made the fish pasta taste rather bland.

The service was a mixed experience. One of the taller waiters was very friendly and welcoming, while another one with a poker face seemed impatient and rude with our table, which affected the overall dining experience.

Overall, while the food had its highs and lows, the restaurant’s atmosphere and some standout dishes make it convenient to dine.  But it is not worth another visit for me unfortunately.

Amazing food so reasonably priced too, been to both their Milan venue and London. Went for my fiancés birthday, the staff were so friendly. Sang happy birthday and even knocked some of the bill off for her birthday too despite us insisting on paying full price. Can’t recommend enough, if you like Italian food and particularly pasta this is a MUST!

Had the best experience here, didn’t have a reservation but they still found us table after a short 20 minute wait. Service was top notch from start to finish. They serve complimentary warm bread with fresh basil olive oil made at your table for you to see. All food ordered was delicious, carbonara is tossed in a large Parmesan wheel in the restaurant area which just adds to the Italian feel of the restaurant. Would recommend if visiting Knightsbridge or surrounding areas!!

Genuinely the best Italian food in London!! Truly a hidden gem. Lovely atmosphere which feels very intimate. Fantastic food with freshly made pasta, good sized dishes and great wine.
