Stopped in an hour before a concert at Disney Hall. Sat at bar where Brian was mixing the most delicious cocktails.  So sweet and attentive.  I ordered the caviar bite ( who knew caviar and tamal go so well together?!), the heirloom tomato with salsa Macha, light but flavorful, and Cafe de Astrid cocktail... that Cachaca and absinthe were stiff but the almond milk and cinnamon were soothing..

I went here by myself on the July 4th weekend while my family was attending a convention elsewhere. When I walked in, it was empty, but the place was very nice. The bartender was extremely friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed. I had a simple chicken sandwich dish, which was good.

When the bartender asked me what I wanted to drink, I requested something non-alcoholic. He suggested a spritzer, but I mentioned wanting something like they serve in Palm Springs. He confidently said he knew what to make me. I told him to surprise me, saying I was sure I’d like it. He asked if I liked bitters, and I responded affirmatively.

Whatever concoction he made, it was very good. I'm sure the other menu items are top-notch, but since it was lunch, I didn't try anything else. I would certainly recommend this place, especially during events when it probably gets busy. The bartender was superb and a very likable gentleman.

Modern Californian restaurant close to the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Came here for dinner on a Saturday evening and had a reservation made online in advance. Indoor and outdoor seating available. We had to search a bit for metered street parking but you can also park at the garage across the street. We ordered everything to come out at once because we were in a rush to catch a show at the Ahmanson but I would’ve liked it better to have the plates portioned out so that we could enjoy each dish properly. We had the chicken liver mousse for our appetizer, which came with thick pieces of bread and had an interesting floral overtone to it. We tried all four entrees - the Branzino, lamb shank, half chicken, and short rib. My personal favorite was the lamb shank, though all of them were tasty. The beans in the lamb shank were especially yummy. The short rib wasn’t as tender was we were hoping for but my sister especially loved the black beans that was underneath it. For dessert, we chose the strawberry shortcake, but I would pass on. It wasn’t bad but the biscuit was a bit dry. Service was friendly and left us alone for the most part, which was great.

One of the best meals I've had in a while. We shared the Chicken Liver Mousse, the Burata, the Beet Risotto and the Lamb. Each was delightful in its own way. The mousse was especially good -- the citrus was a tasty, tart addition. The beet risotto was the STAR of the meal for me; it tasted fresh and creamy, much like a borscht in risotto form. Service was great and the room is lovely. Highly recommend!

Try the tasting menu with wine pairing, wine is good but not superise on food.
I would recommended that a detail introduction on every single food with wine shall be made for the guest to understand the story behind and what seasonal choice picked.

Detta var en mycket nedslående måltid. Även om priserna hade verkat höga, bestämde vi oss för att äta här på grund av dess bekvämlighet till Disney Hall. Vi förväntade oss åtminstone att maten skulle matcha priserna. Vi var mycket besvikna från början; när vi bad om lite bröd att gå med våra oliver servitrisen informerade oss om att det inte fanns någon brödservice tillgänglig förutom surdeg som var prissatt av skivan. Avokadoförrätten bestod av en halv avokado fylld med tärnad pistasch; även om den var tillräckligt god var priset oproportionerligt högt. Till huvudrätt beställde vi stentorsk och ankbröst. Fiskserveringen bestod av 15 kvadratcentimeter fisk med ett stänk av puréade spenatgrönsaker. Såsen var dock ganska god även om jag inte hade något att stoppa upp det med. Serveringen av ankbröst var tillräcklig, men det fanns inget tillbehör. Vår service var perfunctory, ytligt mycket trevlig. Ät inte här om du inte har något annat alternativ.

Bartendrarna var långsamma och typ av oförskämd 5 oz häll för vin för $ 20. Desert var ok men inte ett stort värde. Jag skulle rekommendera andra platser förutom denna.
