Atmosphere in the downstairs area is very loud, but this is great if it’s something that you enjoy. The steaks were phenomenal but that’s to be expected, but the staff was beyond nice and the appetizers were amazing. I highly recommend the uni spaghetti! What a unique dish. Our Sommelier was also very great and we had a fair price for a flight of wine.

Overall experience was very nice. Our 1st time here, celebrating our anniversary. Our server was very helpful and informative of the food we were ordering. We got the dinner for 2 (prices very for the choices out of 3) all sides extra. Honestly, it's very reasonably priced for what you get. Parking is available but not easy to find. Best bet is to do valet.

One of the local steakhouses in San Diego, owned by Consortium Holdings, is a notable establishment. During our recent visit, we were seated upstairs to accommodate our friends with children. The open-air setting, complete with a remarkable bar and heated patio, provides a pleasant ambiance. However, our experience was slightly hindered by the dense fog in San Diego, which disrupted flight operations. Despite this, the restaurant's steaks were exceptionally flavorful and tender, leaving a lasting impression. We complemented our meal with a selection of side dishes that perfectly complemented the meats.

While the upstairs dining area offers a unique experience, I personally prefer the downstairs section, where one can witness the skilled servers and mixologists preparing salads and cocktails on their carts. This adds a touch of culinary artistry to the dining experience.

It is important to note that this establishment is not a typical mom-and-pop steakhouse, and as such, the prices reflect its upscale nature. Patrons should be prepared to make a significant investment when dining here.

This is not your chain steakhouse. It's opulent. It's friendly. And it's classy. There are categories of restaurants based on affordability. A 5 to someone who looks at Texas Roadhouse as a4 is different to a5 that see's Texas Roadhouse as a 2. I've seen it both ways at points in my life. This is the latter. And this is a solid 4 on that scale.

The atmosphere is a 50s black and white movie. At any moment, you expect someone to say, "play it again Sam". Those who tend to you tend to you like the boss. They will make it happen.

The food is stellar, if not enough variety.

I hope this algorithm gets fixed. But until it does, a 5 would have to do. But as a high-end place. I'd give it a happy 4.

Update: And so I've eaten here a fair number of times and it seems that not often than not the something of the meal, is not the whole meal, is delayed. I get pent of apologies, and in some cases the delayed item is comped. That is appropriate but I really just want my food to me in less than an hour. I still love the place and all leave or at a 4. But it definitely borders on a 3 for delivery.

The decor is striking from the moment we walked in. We came on a Sunday evening of a holiday weekend and it was so busy we couldn't even walk in! By the time we checked in and got seated it was about 25 minutes after our reservation time.

The food was delicious - exactly what you'd expect for the caliber of steakhouse they aim to be. The service was fantastic, friendly and informative.

Their wine list felt like it was lacking some more bold, full body wines given the meat focus, but otherwise it was fantastic. The bar and restrooms, floors and one of our tables definitely looked like they'd been well lived and roughed a bit.
