Such a delicious meal with unique textures and tastes. We did the resultant week menu with wine pairing. The vegetarian dishes were on point. Loved the soups the most. Waiter was super knowledgeable and likable. Really clean cozy not over-done decor. Would highly recommend

Everything about our dining experience was warm + delightful! The food + presentation was amazing. We had Maman Zari on our list for a long while before deciding to jump on the Chicago Restaurant Week menu - and it lived up to the excitement!! The space itself is beautiful as well, and complements the gorgeous, complex, thoughtful menu. Highly recommend for a special night out!!

Interesting flavors and a well balanced tasting menu with the right amount of food. Enjoyed the unique flavors and experience however some of the presentation fell a bit flat. The table next to us was a really loud four top, but still enjoyed the setup in the restaurant.

An elevated Persian cuisine - only tasting menu is available (3 variations - regular, pescatarian and vegetarian). Interesting and diverse wine and drinks menu. Beautiful presentation/plating. The regular menu was hit and miss with half of the dishes very good and the rest just average. Pescatarian menu disappointed, as we expected at least one more fish dish.

We had a great experience at Maman Zari. Great service and ambiance. The food is also very good (we got the vegetarian tasting menu with wine pairings) and the pairings are very thoughtful. The eggplant dish with the traditional bread was out of this world just like almost all the other courses. The only dish that wasn't as exceptional as the others was the chickpea "meatball" dish that had some overpowering herb making it taste a bit like grass (it might just be our palettes though). It was still very enjoyable and we would come back again!

Also, the business was very responsive to changing the reservation date after the Tock app messed up the date for our reservation because of the bad android app code that resets the date to the first available date every time you leave the app to check the calendar or copy some information.

Overall, a 5 star experience!
