Absolutely fascinating, both for content and presentation. Parking is difficult. How do you plan a new museum without a parking lot? But that’s a quibble. This is a Must See if you are into the history of the region or if you are interested in how far new museum design has come.

Beautifully curated and displayed, the collection is well worth the visit. The building itself is stunning, built from ochre tinted concrete, with lots of natural light and spacious rooms. The electronic display, confusing at first glance, invites individual exploration and appreciation of the history of the relics. I particularly loved the mosaics and the helpful signage explaining techniques.

State of the art museum, an afternoon is enough to see the whole collection in detail.

Very nice archeological museum, focussing on the Roman period (1st century BC-3rd century AD). Now featuring a temporary exhibition with a audiovisual reconstruction of this first Roman colony in France. Well worth a visit. The museum makes an agreeable  walk from the city centre along the canal.
