Having read other excellent reviews, we had to try this restaurant.
We were more than delighted with our visit for a dinner celebrating a special birthday.
We opted for the shorter set menu.
It was adjusted to various dietry requirements, perfectly.
Each dish delicious and an exquisite fusion.
The service was second to none with careful attention to every detail.
All dishes were explained in detail of origin, special ingredients and how best to enjoy.
Special attention by Chef Borja at every table.
Definitely recommend a try.

Let's start with the obvious: the food is very good and innovative. Perhaps not yet quite up there with the Michelin standard of the neighbouring Poemas, but very close. Also they have a green Michelin star for producing a lot if not most of the ingredients at their own farm in Tejeda.

The wine package was also enjoyable, with Canarian wines. For the longer menu, there was enough wine and the amount food was just right.

The downside was amateurish and hurried service, excluding the owner who was extremely friendly and had time to answer questions about the food and everything.

It's just that if you have an English menu, you serve in English and many of the patrons speak English, it would be good to at least learn words like "wine pairing", "wine package" and "the cheque" or "the bill". Also when asking for drinks, let the customer finish their sentence before running away and bringing two glasses when they would have ordered just one.

Anyway, very enjoyable dinner, but minus one star for the hassle. Maybe we caught them on an off night.

My colleague and I were hotel guests and excited to sample a Michelin star restaurant. The empty tables on arrival on Saturday night should have been a red flag to us.
We went ahead anyway with the full tasting menu and wine pairing.
Unfortunately the creations however well presented and introduced by our waiter were consistently underwhelming. We persevered hoping for something to excite and impress but  each taste was as uninspiring as the last. The wines were mostly good in themselves but pairing wine with such minimal flavours doesn’t really make sense.
At the end we explained to the waiter that we were so underwhelmed by the whole experience that we were struggling to understand the whole concept and justification for the large bill.
We waited to discuss perhaps with a manager or chef but were left unattended. Eventually we enquired what was happening and were told to take it up with the hotel reception.

The hotel reception advised us that someone would contact us to discuss before next day check out but no one did.
On check out the whole meal bill was added to my total and there was no one available to discuss our complaint. I asked the reception to remove the charge and left my contact details so that I might get to discuss with the restaurant management. I was uncomfortable about not paying but equally unimpressed by the whole experience.

Went for a special lunch and had the longer tasting menu, Lo Más Profindo de Tejeda. Chef Borja Marrero is on his way to a Michelin star, the way he brings his passion for Canarian food and wine to the table. The food was different from any tasting menu we have had before and the wines (armonía) were outstanding. We especially liked the smoky aubergine with hollandaise, the langoustine with meaty onion sauce, and the “despiece” of the Canarian sheep. We loved the chef’s description of the tour we were taking and his ties to his native Tejeda.

Amazing experience. Chef was there to serve and explain the food. We had the 9 course menu and each course was unique and very tasty. A little pricey.

Satsade på den medelstora avsmakningsmenyn. Några läckra munsbitar där inne, och några mycket intressanta idéer. Pine & sea bass kaviar var uppfinningsrik och utsökt. Hela havsabborrebanan var en höjdpunkt. Getgrytan som serverades som en nöjesbuche var så god, jag tittade in i köket senare och undrade om jag kunde få välva disken och ta lite. Getsmöret serverat med brödet var fantastiskt. Själva brödet var ganska gott. Ostsoppan var väldigt god, men lite överväldigande efter ett tag. Tyvärr, förutom det, maten verkligen inte träffade målet. Massor av små munsbitar utan mycket smak för dem. Massor av soppor och bitar som bara inte landade. Konceptet för platsen är verkligen beundransvärt, och det finns massor av kreativitet som går in i det, men det var bara inte gott nog. Efter ett gäng salta huvudrätter såg vi fram emot några söta desserter, men de var en riktig besvikelse, inte söt och inte trevlig. När vi kom tillbaka till vårt hotellrum beställde vi lite dessert från roomservice, vilket var härligt och behövdes!

Vi måste säga att de kritiska recensionerna i Tripadvisor var rätt och jag borde ha läst dem innan du bokar restaurangen. Portionerna är bara löjligt och irriterande små, 7 gram av detta, en fingerborg full av det, bara brödportionerna är generösa men de tar en extra 3 € för det, detta är så dumt! Smaken på rätterna genom hela menyn är alltid ganska intetsägande och bara inte intressant. Att ha sin egen gård är inte klart varför de flesta rätter är bara baserade på tallbark, vilda örter eller kaktus som finns i vild natur. Totalt är det bara en inbilsk asketisk anti-smak och textur demonstration vi mycket väl kunde ha levt utan.

Vet inte vad jag ska säga, förmodligen den värsta Michelin stjärnmåltiden jag någonsin ätit. Portioner ett knott skulle tycka var små, maten smaklös i bästa fall med några ”rätter” genuint oätliga. Bara udda mat som uppenbarligen hade noggrann förberedelse men slutresultaten var en slumpartad konstig kombination av ingredienser. Alldeles för mycket ost, tallbark och kaktus. Öknar var nog värst med en (citrus tydligen) som bokstavligen fick mig att kväljas. Hade en sådan hemsk kvardröjande smak efteråt som fick gå till hotellbaren för något sött. Det var definitivt en minnesvärd ”måltid”.

Av trion av Michelinstjärnor i Las Palmas fann vi Muxgo minst stark i våra paletter. Det betyder inte att är inte var inte bra dess stil av mat var lite konstigt för oss. Nästan alla kurser var en eller två tuggor. Vi är inte stora ätare så till att börja med var det ok men på väg mot slutet av den salta delen av måltiden var det inte mycket ökning i storlek. De enda rätter som var större var de som hade en buljong, soppa eller sås hälls över som var förmodligen 5 rätter. Elementen i rätten var så små att när den ovan nämnda soppan/buljongen hälldes över förlorade man en del av smakerna. Nästan inga luckor mellan kurserna så kändes bara lite stressad.

Vi siktar alltid på Michelins stjärnmärkta avsmakningsmenyer på semestern, och har funnits på många av dem genom åren. Vi valde 12 - rätters avsmakningsmeny med vinparningar. Sammantaget utsökt mat som presenterades väl, men jag skulle ändå säga genomsnittligt till bra, med tanke på att det har en Michelinstjärna (det var inte exceptionellt) . Två av rätterna var verkligen «wow» - den rökta auberginen med hollandaise och ostsoppan, och vinet kombinerat med soppan var fantastiskt. Det var den enda stora erfarenheten. Av 12 . Sammantaget var rätterna vackert presenterade och vi älskar lokal, hållbar mat och råvaror. Annars var det ganska grundläggande, och desserten i slutet var mycket nedslående... servitörerna förklarade inte något om vinet - inte hur de kommer att servera det genom kurserna (en för varje rätt / tillsammans för två rätter etc. ) , och ingenting utöver att säga var det var från och vilken typ av druva, som var obekant för oss. Vi blev inte serverade eller frågade om vi ville ha vatten? (Wtf) . Deras engelska var också mycket dålig och servitörens röst för låg för att höra vad som sades... kombinerat med den dåliga engelskan (vi båda är under 40 år - inget fel på vår 👂). Vi visste att de hade en valfri ost urval, men erbjöds aldrig det som ett tillägg (det var på menyn). Vi var faktiskt inte mätta efter middagen och åkte till vårt hotell för att njuta av ett glas vin med några tapastallrikar. Maten här var god, men de förtjänar inte den prestigefyllda Michelinstjärnan ⭐️ Vårt nästa besök blir middag på den stjärnmärkta restaurangen Aquarela nära Puerto Rico, det ser vi fram emot!

En speciell upplevelse med lokala produkter. Vi åt lunch - menyn, och det var en trevlig måltid. Presentationen var kreativ, maten var god, och vi kände att vi hade en smak av den verkliga Gran Canaria. Vinet var också lokal, och personalen var bra!

Vi hade den verkställande menyn. Hälsningen var varm och vänlig. Vi satt sist och åt lunch men vi hade inte alls bråttom. Maten förklarades utförligt. De olika kurserna kom snabbt och smak och service förstklassig. Min frus favorit var osttvålen och den stickiga päronöknen. Min buljong stater och filé huvud var utsökt. Priset var rimligt för kvaliteten på mat och service. Jag skulle starkt rekommendera denna restaurang för ett besök
