What would have been a nice 4 star over review turned into a 2 at best. The ambiance is wonderful, location great and food taste great.. however the price is expensive for for serving size and they tried to charge me 4x the cost of a glass a wine times 2 and said it was a mistake they put in for 2 bottles of wine instead. I’m glad I checked because it seemed like they thought I would just pay it and move on… check your tickets people !!!

This restaurant exceeds the expectations of fine French dining. The outdoor park located Swedish restaurant has great outdoor seating with rain cover. The service is awesome and fast. The food is very good and shows you what true Swedish traditional food is really like. The drinks are very complex and palletable. All in all, this is a contender for best restaurant in Sweden.

Lovely location and environment. The food was high quality and Swedish cuisine but nothing extraordinary. What lowers this rate this time is the lack of engagement in the service. They were not as friendly as expected at this kind of high end place.

Absolute gem of a restaurant, always my go-to choice for local cuisine and a place where I take visitors that come over to Stockholm. It never disappoints. Service is always great and food is amazing! You won’t regret booking a table - both interior space as well as terrace are excellent. Tack så mycket! 😍

You want traditional food? Well this is the place to get it. Well, mostly... The meatballs were absolutely stunning, the sauce, the puree compliments the meal perfectly. I do have my reservations regarding the Skagen smørrebrød, it wasn't as good as I expected from such a high-priced place. Nevertheless, the atmosphere, the nature all around outweighed that. Lovely staff as well!

Just a few years later, in 1900, it transitioned into a konditori (confectionery café), becoming a cozy spot where locals and visitors could savor delightful sweets and coffee amidst an inviting ambiance.

The mid-20th century marked a pivotal transformation. In 1950, the establishment was reimagined as a restaurant and proudly took on the name Wärdshuset Ulla Winbladh. This change signaled a new chapter, focusing on hearty, traditional Swedish fare, inviting guests to experience the rich culinary heritage of the region in a warm and welcoming environment.

Modern stewardship and culinary excellence

In 1992, renowned restaurateur Nils Emil Ahlin assumed leadership, igniting a renaissance at Wärdshuset Ulla Winbladh by elevating traditional Swedish home-cooked dishes to new gastronomic heights.
