We went for breakfast at 9.30am on a Wednesday. 7 tables were occupied by 10 people including us. There was a bit of drama ongoing, one man seemingly on his phone would burst out crying one minute and would be laughing out loud the next and this went on for more than half an hour while we were there. A mother with her young son, he kept climbing onto her shoulders while she was trying to eat. 3 very silent men at their tables, a couple behind us who seemed to be making travel plans and us, just happy to get a hot breakfast with eggs!
The young lady at the counter was very helpful and explained all the breakfast options, although everything's pretty clearly displayed in English. We ordered,
1. Blueberry pancakes + Extra Hard boiled egg
2. Bagel with cream cheese breakfast combo which came with either overnight oats or yogurt + fruit compote or fruit salad and a (soft)boiled egg and coffee/tea
3. Extra side salad
Everything was nice, especially the bagel and pancakes, except for the overnight oats which were just ok.
We had a nice breakfast with a little entertainment.

The place looks old and maybe needs a little TLC.

Okey, the only thing that was good was the bageln /eggs with bacon (not warm enough!) and the the drink PepsiMax! The latte was lukewarm! Really bad! Pancakes was just a no! For blueberry inside was 15kr extra.
And inside of the restaurant was freezing cold! We were so cold that we needed to put on our jackets!
It was an experience but I will never go to this places again.
The staff was kinda grumpy except 2 of them!
It’s a no for us!

I really enjoyed my time at egg and milk. Loved the decorations chairs etc it really felt like a real American Diner. The service was great and the pancakes bacon tasted nice. The only negative thing I can say is that it took some time to get the food but I was warned about that in the beginning from the waitress.

We visited on a Saturday which there was a acceptable line and about 30 minutes of waiting time for preparing the order. Felt like they haven’t been yet set up with the arrangement of the shop and how to handle customers and taking orders stuff like that.
I also felt they’re under staffed. Cleaning of the used tables was something that customers needed to do. About the food; I’d say very normal food no surprise nothing special.

Egg & Milk has despite it’s name quite some vegan options. Subtitled “no eggs, no milk, no problem”, you can find overnight oats, bagels, pancakes and waffles. Quite a nice selection! The execution, however, falls flat. Three pancakes with frozen blueberries come at a whopping 95 SEK, tend to take long to be ready and can come a bit overtanned/burned. On the tables you can only find cheap sugar syrup with maple flavour, no real maple syrup. And the American diner ambience, while charming, is a bit cheap and used up.

While I appreciate the vegan options on the menu, the price-setting, especially considering the quality feels almost outrageous. Making some vegan pancakes at home from scratch goes faster and is better than what Egg & Milk offers, and that kinda defeats the purpose of going there, doesn’t it? Still, I am happy there are vegan options.

I’d mainly give it a pass though.
