Was there the moment they opened in the morning and had a really nice time exploring these wonderfully laid out displays. It’s really a must if you’re into design and this chair tunnel is a dream for chair lovers.

This is a really incredible museum for anyone who loves conceptual thinking and design! In my opinion, it’s a must-see if you are visiting Copenhagen. I decided not to put too many pictures in so that you could have a fresh experience on your own :)

Amazing museum. Allow at least one hour to see everything. It took me one hour and a half and more time for purchases at the gift shop.

We were very excited to visit this museum but ended up were a bit disappointed.

There are some interesting designs but the exhibits are not consistent, it’s just putting different expensive collections together.

Do not bother joining the free guiding tour. The lady is very kind but did not add much value in explaining the design concept in relation to the historic or social backgrounds.
There is a part showing the change of tableware designs from Renaissance to modern period but she just went “this was very expensive back then ” and “this is very good quality silver”, etc. Not professional, boring and inconsistent unfortunately.

Still recommend to visit if you are in Copenhagen and I would recommend exploring the museum by yourself.

One of the best design museums in the world! They have some rotating exhibitions, a permanent one and one that features the contemporary design in Denmark. The chair collection is absolutely a dream! And the part where you can see the exhibition by designer is also fantastic!
If you like design, this place is an absolute must! Don’t miss out!
