We enjoyed our first stay at the hotel. The wellness is the absolute highlight. I consider it one of the best I've visited in a hotel. The rooms are really nice and the staff is very kind. The bar has busy loud nights and quiet evenings. Something for everyones liking for sure.

Went for pre-dinner drinks and snagged a cozy nook near the fire. Staff was attentive, and kept the olives and mixed nuts flowing. Côtes-du-rhône (€16 per glass)& the second round came in a wine glass that smelled like rotten eggs. The table next to us had a similar experience; we tried to communicate this to the waitress but was invalidated. Not a deal breaker but weird.

La Luge was a disappointing experience, everything was done at lightning speed, the sommelier was particularly rude and abrupt - demanding we choose the wine as soon as we sat down (nice wine but considering it's local, I didn't understand the 400% markup). The fondue kept splitting and no amount of stirring could save it.

We had a massage at the hotel which was lovely, very professional and we had the beautiful spa to ourselves. Swimming outside was a cool experience.

We had lunch at the hotel restaurant which was okay, not very many great vegetarian options and a very small pizza was €30. Good service though and beautiful setting.

Lovely hotel! Amazing service; nicely decorated rooms/lobby/lounge/spa; nice outdoor pool/outdoor hot tub/indoor jacuzzi/sauna/steam room; diverse and well presented breakfast buffet; great location.

Four stars instead of five as we found it tacky to have a coin operated pool table and video game and as the hotel offered nothing for children despite a huge percentage of kids during school vacation weeks. Also surprising that there’s no coffee maker in room and so guests are charged 5 euros for a simple cup of coffee outside breakfast hours.  Given the high price to stay at this hotel, those are amenities I’d expect.  We also had two rooms - one with a brand new bathroom and the other with one that seemed 15-20 years old. Again, given the price, we’d expect all rooms to have received the cosmetic upgrades, not just some of them.

Those aside, we found the stay very enjoyable.

We come to hotel’s restaurant Le Luge every year, but this year this place disappointed us completely. You won’t understand from the first sight that a in a 5star hotel the waiters treat you with 3stars service. Sommelier sold us a spoiled bottle of wine , apologies were not extended. Good luck trying this restaurant, there are much better options in Val d’Isere!
