The place is absolutely gorgeous and was built by Zaha Hadid. The space is beautifully planned and has a ton of beautiful vantage points and transitions between floors and installations.

The quality of the exposition is questionable in my opinion. While contemporary art can certainly be divisive, I seem to dislike the art that is impossible to enjoy no matter how hard you try unless you are told a very elaborate story of why it is good and famous.

I would take a trip here as a tour of a beautiful building where you may find some interesting pieces for yourself.

An amazing place, and I must admit, quite unexpected. Rome is usually associated with its beautiful history and museums related to it. At Maxxi, you can see all the expertise Italians have in creating museums. The building – beautiful, the interior – astonishing, the exhibition – excellent.

This is the most famous and iconic modern art museum in Rome. The building is stunning and very suitable for the museum.
I visited during the Guido Guidi exhibits and to admit it was not my favorite. The space in the galleries was utilized very poorly and navigating the museum was a mess.
The rest of the exhibitions were also kinda weird, but not in a good way.
It was very focused on infrastructure and highways - that made no sense to me.😅
Then gallery 3 and 4 were with looked doors. 💔
Lastly gallery 5 was for fashion absolutely my favorite.

The museum building itself is very interesting but most of the exhibition is less inspiring. The highway topic is a rare theme but it is a pity that most pictures don’t have any explaining.

It's a great museum for modern art. There is also a coffee shop included, as the museum opens only at 11. The space is generous, and the exposition is modern, so everyone can take what he wants or gets from it.
