We celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday at Langosteria, a well-known restaurant near Porta Genova Railway Station. Booking a table was simple through their website, though a valid credit card was required.

The place had a trendy vibe, but the rest didn’t live up to expectations. While the food looked appealing, the flavors were pretty average—not worth the high price. Service was also disappointing; our waiter didn’t explain the dishes or offer any recommendations, which we expected at this price point.

What really stood out was the cost. For such an expensive meal, we expected amazing food and great service, but it felt like we were paying for the name and location instead. There are better options in Milan with tastier food and friendlier service at more reasonable prices.

Sadly, Langosteria wasn’t worth it for us, and we won’t be going back. If you’re in Milan, you’re better off exploring other restaurants.

Wow what a meal this was. Service was amazing, food was delicious, and the decor was awesome.
Worth a trip for sure. They even booked the taxi for us to get back to our hotel.
Our waiter was Awesome and so helpful in recommending items and describing what we were enjoying.
Finished with Almond Sorbet and a glass of Ben Rae, what a way to finish.
A dear friend recommended this spot, it was a 30 min taxi from our hotel, and we'll worth the drive. Definitely on our list to return to next year when we come back to Milan.
We shared the Dover Sole, yum. I had an assortment of Oysters which were delicious.
The grilled langoatines were yum and the gazpacho was a hit.
Great place for a group to enjoy more.
The wine list was a novel, unreal how many selections they had.
I started with a Coconut Negroni, very good.
A definite highlight amongst all the amazing meals we had while in Milan.

Got the pleasure of dining at Langosteria in Milan as they reopened after holiday. We had tried the Langosteria in Portofino for lunch, and absolutely loved it. The manager of the Milan location, Matteo, was so kind and hospitable. He went out of his way to accommodate us and ensure we had the best experience. It’s very rare that you see a popular chain like Langosteria treat all their guests as such. Looking forward to trying more of their locations across the world.

Excellent place to have an exquisite seafood dinner. We loved Lobster pasta, langoustines, oysters, shrimps, salads and mashed potatoes with Parmesan and drinks selection.
Only tuna steak was not amazing for my personal taste. Otherwise all great.

Keep to the fresh seafood, that’s my advice!!! We loved the fresh kinds of offerings such as the different varieties of oysters and shrimps to choose from. They were great, satisfied our oyster and shrimp cravings. The mashed potatoes was delicious that went well with the Paccheri with sea bass.

The only thing that pulled the review and experience down to this was how bad the Breton rouge spiny lobster pasta went. First, the 2 servers were hard selling us that this lobster pasta was the best pasta they have in the menu which they kept pushing one of us to order. When our order arrived, which was the last meal to be served from the rest of the orders, it was a disaster. All 4 of us diners had the same comments, the pasta paccheri (big round garden hose sliced noodle) was cooked too aldente which made the pasta too rubbery / chewy for all our taste. The sauce was like lobster bisque with mediocre flavor that we had to ask for salt and pepper to compensate for its insignificance. The lobster pasta was also too sweet for all of us that we even questioned the server if they placed sugar on the lobster dish.  The server responded that the Italians like it that sweet… Oh well, one of us dining is a chef doing R&D and had her own reservations about the last dish. Totally not worth the 320 euros they charged us for this lobster pasta dish. We were so disappointed at the first bite and felt robbed for the price of the dish that some of us forced ourselves to finish it only because of the price. Also, I felt the server was rushing me to finish some dishes and mistakenly attempted to clean by plate out on the first dish even if I wasn’t done yet with my fresh oysters.

Will we go back here again? Only for the fresh oysters and shrimp!
