To say that the food was perfect or wonderful would be an understatement. This evening offered us a complete and outstanding gastronomic experience. The food, the hospitality—without unnecessary frills but filled with substance—featured select ingredients, exceptional flavors, and above all, a genuine, homely, and incredibly polite and humble welcome. One of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful host and chef. The wine list was also superb, with rare finds. This place truly deserves a Michelin star for many reasons.

What absolutely stunning restaurant hidden in a small area of Tuscany. A small family run restaurant that produces top-quality food that makes your soul sing. The pasta and steak were beautifully made and sensational. The staff showed fantastic hospitality, they made us feel welcome and at home. Generous pours of wine too! We look forward to returning soon.

Great Tuscan food and it shows off the great ingredients, for a good price. We have come here a number of times over the last couple of decades and this year was one of the best.
It's a great setting, sitting outside on their terrace and has nice view. That coupled with the authentic and beautiful food makes it worth the steep drive to get up to Montebenichi. Also, Ava (front of house) and Gino (the chef) do make a good team and make it a good place to go.
Do ring ahead if you want something particular which might not normally be on the menu, and they are flexible and may be able to get it. We had had Fegato de Cinta Senese here in previous years and didn't realise we could ring ahead and ask for something like this. We will do this in future years now we know this.
Do book though because with just Ava and Gino they have a limited number of bookings per day, mostly dinners from my understanding (but I could be wrong!). We had a great lunch.

A wonderful small family restaurant in Montebenchini.  The best local food (read in Tuscany) made with a lot of love, the atmosphere is very romantic and peaceful.  The lady owner is so kind and explains everything nicely (unlike other Italians, to whom we are just numbers).  The wine list is impressive, the food divine.  We ate Antipasto All'orciaia, Pici Al Rigatino Cinta Senese E Finocchietto Selvatico and Pork Cutlet.  Rating of food, place, view and friendliness 5, if a higher rating could be given, they would get it without thinking.  I recommend the hour and a half drive to the restaurant, because it's worth it.  Of course we will come again

Very intimate and charming atmosphere with a fantastic view. Service was amazing as well as the home cooked food. You'll need reservations and it's very limited but absolutely worth it. Perfect Tuscany experience.
