We much enjoyed two nights stay in the Santa Maria Novella on October 2024
Three rooms in Villa were very spacious and comfortable for 4 people.
The hotel itself is lovely, classy, classic but new. Breakfast room is lovely, with a great meals. Roof top is great with views of the Duomo, the piazza of the famous and amazing church of Santa Maria novella.
It's a fast, easy walk from the train station.
Few blocks away from the heart of the center. All staff were very helpful!

Great location, very easy walk from the tram. We arrived early (11am) but they were happy to store our bags until the room was ready. By the time we returned later in the day (2:30pm), our room was ready and our bags were already in our room. Our patio had a great view of Santa Maria Novella square. I highly recommend watching a sunset from the upstairs terrace. We bought a bottle of wine from the bar and brought our own snacks, then spent an hour with the 360-degree panoramic view of the Duomo and surrounding city. The complimentary breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we've ever had.

Staff very helpful and friendly.  Reception staff very welcoming. Umbrellas were provided when it was raining. Santa Cocktail Club at the Bar begins at 6:30pm. Tables outside (more for smokers) and a few inside. Excellent drinks and appetisers. Room Service Menu at very bare minimum, but still very good. Rooms are very nice. Queen bed very comfy.  Breakfast is brilliant. Served until 10:30am. Tip - ask for your coffee when you see the breakfast staff.

I originally booked this hotel because of it's short walking distance to the train station and the sights of the city itself but wow, what a find.  I loved everything about it, the elegant decor of the entire place, including my room.  The staff were beyond kind to my friend and I, anything we needed was taken care of without hesitation, whether it was to call a cab or to recommend an excellent restaurant.  The place is in the same plaza as the actual Basilica it's named after and we enjoyed walking around that both day and night.  Also an outstanding breakfast, I wouldn't go anywhere else if I returned to Florence....

A stunning hotel! Their front desk was very professional and greeted us as soon as we walked into the hotel. Friendly staff and excellent location in the heart of everything! Delicious breakfast and drinks.  Our suite was beautifully decorated and nicely lit, loved the little patio that came with our suite and enjoyed our morning cappuccino.  The rooftop was one of my favorites because we got to see Florence so beautifully lit up at night.  Gorgeous and will come back and stay here again!!!
