This place is fabulous! The artwork is stunning and worth wandering around the hotel to look at! The gardens are wonderful too. The room was lovely as is the lobby, restaurants, and bar! The staff were also excellent! Be sure to go to breakfast, it’s very good! I cannot wait to return!

Had a wonderful stay here. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and historical. All the staff were lovely. The restaurants and bars were great as well. Loved that they had bikes available for rent. Can't wait to come back.

The staff at this hotel are extremely rude and unwelcoming, most especially the bar and wait staff at every venue on property. I found the hotel layout to be confusing, with minimal signage, and each time I asked a question, it felt as if I was intruding and unwanted as a hotel guest. The staff seem annoyed with the high number of non-hotel visitors, but yet they treat paying hotel guests with the same attitude as visitors.

As a guest of the hotel, I visited the Pulitzer Bar with a client upon landing in the afternoon time. My client and I inquired with the extremely rude Pulitzer bartender as to whether they served light bites, given the lobby bar was full of non-hotel guests, which I found to be commonplace all the time here. He aggressively replied to us "Ma'am, this is a cocktail bar. Why would we serve food?" I was mortified at this response, considering I was with a client of my business, and a paying hotel guest. Based on this terrible interaction, we immediately left without ordering anything and I did not return during my entire stay. This interaction alone was enough for me to not return to this hotel in the future, and especially not with business guests.

I stayed at two other five star hotels during my long-term stay in Amsterdam and these far exceeded the Pulitzer. They had far more amenities in the rooms, bathrooms, and throughout the hotel, but more importantly, the staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming, much unlike every staff member at Pulitzer. For the reasons mentioned above, among others, I would not consider Pulitzer a five-star hotel, and I would recommend other hotels in the area instead.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Pulitzer. Such a unique boutique hotel with something beautiful to look at in every corner. The staff is super nice, friendly and were very accommodating for all our needs. Prime location. Will definitely be visiting again.

A unique hotel catering to hipsters business people and a large Viking tour crowd. With each demographic having different expectations, from room accommodations to service and overall experience the property certainly has its challenges - ! Having said that once you settle in, and having had the experience to share feedback with management this experience turns into a true 5 star experience.
