Really enjoyed this beach out of season. There were still places to eat in the old village complex and plenty of information boards explaining the history of tuna fishing on the island. It's an easy bus ride from Tavira. You walk over the footbridge and can walk or catch the little train to the settlement and beach. On the day we went the waves were huge so wave jumping was safer than trying to swim. Plenty of natural beauty and walks around the sandbank. Great place to explore on a sunny day.

Great place to visit.  Lovely train takes you right to the beach.  Just the public toilets were very dirty.

Great walk to this beach, good beach and facilities as well as a place to have snacks and drinks.

Stunning golden sand beach. Dog friendly outside of the controlled zone. (get to beach and walk toward nudist area) A bit of a walk to get there from the car park, as dogs are not allowed on the shuttle train.

Small walk needed to get to the beach along Ria Formosa, or nice 8 mins trip by train also available. Clean beach with  sun loungers and parasols for rent. Bars and toilets very close..
