Met a friend at Castle Combe for a catch up. This pub was perfect for us to grab a coffee and then some lunch. The bar and lounge are impeccably clean and beautifully presented as are the toilets. Staff are delightful - friendly, efficient and helpful. The food was delicious and the menu offers a good, interesting range of dishes. My vegan friend was well catered for.
Thanks for a warm welcome. We will return.

We came here on our way to Bourton on water and had the best fish and chips. I love how light the batter is and the fries are cooked in beef fat and smell and taste wonderful! Do give this place a visit if you are here. You won’t regret it.

Not really a pub but a gastro pub without the pub.  If your just there for drinks, your welcome into the back room which is lovely but you are not in the main area which is designated to the restaurant.  As the village only has two places to eat, the other being a traditional pub and food to match, The Castle Inn is the place to go if you don't want the more formal option on the Manor House hotel. Went twice.  Had fish both nights.  Was really nice.

A beautiful, cozy pub with the most lovely staff. We stopped in for lunch while visiting and had the best time. We sat by the fire, had delicious shepherds pie, soup & chips. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area !

Only had lunch here, so no room rating although I'm sure they're gorgeous!

Popped to Castle Combe for a bit of a change and decided to start with lunch.

The Castle Inn looked like a great place to plonk ourselves, so we did!

Lovely on the outside, lovely on the inside. Beautiful old building that has been sympathetically turned into the current Castle Inn.

We were greeted when we came in, and waited a couple of minutes while one was being prepared. It was quite busy and everyone looked happy enough - good sign!

We sat and waited and read through the menu. I'm sure there was an option for chips to be not cooked in beef dripping - yes I know it's the best but as a veggie I can't quite eat that. As it was there were a couple of veggie alternatives which we went for. I started with the cauliflower soup and HWMBO had the mackerel. We decided to both have the rosti as main.

Starters turned up in good time, and we're both delicious. I know it's only a bowl of soup, but it was very good soup. Little bits of greenery floating on top - capers and kale I think - rounded out the flavour of the cauliflower. Mackerel, I'm told, was also excellent.

The main course arrived and the only thing that was a tiny bit of a let down was the fact that our food was dumped in front of us as the server was more interested in a conversation happening elsewhere in the room.

Again, the food was excellent - an enormous rosti topped with various bits of greenery, cheese and a fried egg. Both of us wolfed it down.

Didn't opt for a desert, rather full at this point.

It isn't a cheap place to eat, but the atmosphere and venue add to the value of a meal here.
