We were in AJ today looking at a few flea markets and decided to get lunch and the Meat Slicer had a 4.5 rating and a deli sandwich sounded good to the both of us.  So we went there and got a Slicer special to split with a couple waters and Cheetos.  Before tax and tip that order was $17.15 after $21.60.  The sandwich was very good with
Loads of meat, but a deli should have some side salad and a pickle having a healthy portion of meats is just the start especially for a $12.69 sandwich.  People were very nice, the server is a bit lackluster but that's pretty much what you get these days.  The selection of drinks and chips was VERY LIMITED also another fail for a "deli".  My rating for this establishment if I were talking about the sandwich only would be a 4.5, but given the idea we were going to a local deli with such a high rating within YELP our expectations were much higher.

Waiting 40 minutes for a single sandwich with 3 people in this restaurant total is insane. I want an hour of my Saturday back from this. I could have walked to Fry’s and made one in the parking lot for that much time.

Tried for the first time and the last. We didn't want to spend too much so we ordered a "large" sandwich to split. Ask the person how big the sandwiches are usually and was told it would be a good size. Nope, the bread was thicker than the meat portion. I took one bite and was done. I was very disappointed and won't recommend this place.

Editing since trying the sandwiches- orders were wrong. Not even edible. Reached out to the owner but the email is invalid and he won’t answer my texts. Just wanted my $27 refund for my bad experience and inedible sandwiches :)

Writing this review before even eating the sandwich. Waited 30 minutes as the only customer for two sandwiches. The prices are outrageous for two sandwiches. Love supporting local but def won’t be back here.

Excellent sandwiches and excellent staff. I picked up four sandwiches to split with my kids, we tried a variety of their specials and they were all good. We liked the Hawaiian and the Turkey Avocado the most. The guy running the place was friendly and made great sandwiches. Thank you for an A+ sandwich and I'll see you guys the next time I'm in Apache Junction.
