I did not stay at The Betsy overnight, but we visited the Betsy for live music, dessert, and for the experience. We received the most amazing service. Our server, Carmen, was so gracious, attentive, and friendly. We ordered cappuccino and flan and enjoyed those in the lounge by the piano while we listened to a jazz pianist play an amazing 5 hours of fantastically skilled piano. The property is gorgeous. We met the Concierge, Art, who treated us to a personal tour of the entire property at 9pm in the evening and he didn't even bat an eye when he offered. If I had known this hotel existed prior to my arrival to South Beach, I would have done everything in my power to stay at this hotel. But, now we know where we'll stay for each visit to the area. They won us over with their customer service.

At times like this I am frustrated that Google limits me to 5 stars - Betsy deserves much much more! This place is without doubt the finest hotel I have stayed in. The staff are incredible from initial check in to ongoing service. The owners have managed to capture a feeling of authenticity and exceptional hospitality  throughout. Every staff member was brilliant - also a special mention to Paul at concierge who is exceptional at what he does and turning a stay into an unforgettable experience.

Visited twice for breakfast-brunch only, did not stay at the hotel. The breakfast was phenomenal. Barbara was our server. We both got the Betsy breakfast and man was it worth every single dollar. Full for the remainder of the morning and afternoon. Excellent, kind, professional service and great views of hotel guests shuffling about.

I returned alone for brunch the following morning and had the French omelette which was delicious. I did not get my servers name but he was equally as kind and pleasant as Barbara had been the morning before. I will certainly return for a meal with The Betsy when visiting SoBe.

***UPDATE— emailed the person who responded to this review below saying they were the manager and they have not responded. It’s been over a week, no response back and I followed up a few times. $920 charge has gone through on my card, no one has attempted to help whatsoever***

Beyond disappointed. We had booked a king suite for 4 nights. On the first night we checked in, were told the tv didn’t work, and the pool inside was closed. Then we got to the room and found they had given us a room with a handicapped bathroom, and the main window’s shade would not open. We literally could  not open the shade or window and get sunlight into the room. We spoke to the front desk and they said there weren’t any other rooms available, and so we decided to move to a different hotel because this was our one vacation this year, our first time in Miami, and wanted a room that could at least have sunlight. When I spoke to the front desk, they made it seem like they were doing us a favor letting us leave before the 4 days we booked, and the lady told us she spoke to a manager, were gonna waive a resort fee, and they apologized and said normally the hotel is amazing but a lot of things weren’t working and they’d had some trouble recently. But we left thinking they took care of us and now to our surprise we look at our credit card and they charged us NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS for one night stay…. Even though the room we stayed in and booked was $550 a night. The fact that the staff knew we were forced to leave because we couldn’t stay in the room, and still charged the complete max price plus a bunch of insane fees seems predatory and unfair. I had planned on giving the Betsy another  try but I’m beyond words. No one can afford a $900 a night room  and I would have never left the property had I known they weren’t even gonna try to make it right and give us a break on the price after the experience we had.

We had a wonderful experience for our 22nd anniversary that we were blessed to celebrate at The Besty.  It started off as amazing  experience when we checked in and were greeted by Fritzner. He was so full of joy you could not help but to smile.  He was so welcoming and knowledgeable it was quite refreshing. When we arrived into our upgraded room we were greeted with a nice treat from the concierge as well as a bottle of Prosecco.

I was so happy that I was able to meet the concierge Paul he was such a joy to speak with as well.  All I can say is that this hotel made my husband and I feel like we were at home. We will definitely be back.
