One of our best dining experience here in Rome so far while staying here for a month. Service was very nice and friendly, they all spoke good English. Food was delicious, everything we ordered was great. We had the Fiore di Zucca for starter, Carbonara and Pesto for pasta, and Tiramisu to conclude. No house wine, unfortunately, but glass of wine price was pretty fair. Overall an excellent experience, recommended in Trastevere.

One of the best pasta and antipasta we had in Rome. Huge variety of wines. The wine menu contains of 200+ pages and is in it self worth the visit. All bottles are also available to purchase to take home and are cheaper when doing so (compared to consuming it on site). For the price it's worth noting that most of our bill was for the wine (we've ordered expensive bottles) but the food it self was about 30€ per person for a three-course meal.

We loved it. Highly recommended. After much research, we relied on the recommendation of our hotel (Margutta 19, highly recommended) for this suggestion. That it was not terribly close to the hotel (20 min taxi, 40 min walk) gave us some confidence it would be a good suggestion (rather than something simply near the hotel). We were not disappointed. While we would have liked to sit outside, we understood that probably required a specific booking and they provided us a perfectly comfortable table next to the window that offered just the right blend of coziness and privacy. The food was sublime. Sea bass with truffles had so many ruffles so as to not see the sea bass (and at a very reasonable price). The pesto was one of the best I’ve ever had. My table mates, including our picky 15-year old daughter, all loved it. The best part was our server. We always need assistance with Italian wine selections and she was the best we’ve had in terms of quality and price. She selected a white “because it was produced near where the truffles grew” that we loved and a red that we equally enjoyed. See pics for the selections. For the price, they were our favorite wines while in Rome. She was simply wonderful. Friendly and attentive and thoughtful. A perfectly paced meal and service intervals.  wry highly recommended!

Stopped for a spritz and antipasto instead of lunch.  Had a great seat outside to watch the world go by.  The antipasto was more than enough to satisfy hubby and I for lunch.  Nice selection.

Great atmosphere, good pricing, good food and huge local wine selection.

As an American visiting Rome, we stumbled across this place due to the patio.  Due to popularity and a lack of a reservation, we had to sit inside.  Sitting inside was still worth it, though if you want to sit outside later in the evening I'd recommend getting a reservation.

This restaurant serves authentic Italian food, not the touristy stuff we have found elsewhere in the city.

Thank you for the best first dinner in Rome! The food was incredible. The members of staff were extremely lovely. Our waiter went above and beyond explaining us all of the special meals and translating to English so perfectly. It’s our first time in Rome and thus explanations were very much needed. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. The atmosphere was so lovely and authentic. What a truly great Italian restaurant!

We were recommended È Passata La Moretta by a local friend. Who specifically stated to try the carbonara and so naturally we had to give it a try. I wanted to make sure we had a table outside for dinner so I dropped by the restaurant at lunch time (they have a contact number but as a tourist I don’t have calling capacity, only data) - I wasn’t confident that it would be okay to walk in during lunch and reserve for dinner but the team couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating and I was able to reserve a table outside for that night.

Arriving at 8pm in the evening for our reservation, La Moretta was busy (so definitely worth reserving of you want to ensure you get a seat). There was a good mix of locals and tourists and the restaurant itself is located a few streets back from the main road, down some fairly tight alleyways, meaning there is limited car traffic, adding to the ambience, especially if seated outside.

We were served quickly by a very attentive and professional team of waitstaff and had the Buratta with Red Cabbage as a starter - the Buratta was the creamiest I have had yet, delicious in pairing with the bitter red cabbage, a refreshing and light starter. For mains we had the Amitriciana and Carbonara pastas. The Amitriciana had a delicious, deep red and rich sauce with a generous amount of pecorino, not too salty either which I appreciated. The Carbonara was really the star though, very traditional, very tasty and let me say that I would pay a lot of money just to know how they got that Guanciale so crispy - absolutely divine.
