Best experience in my life. I 110% recommend this place. The hydrogenated bath is a life changing asset where it healed our wounds so well! If you want to experience a traditional japanese-style tatami room but with luxury assets, this place is for you!

The only downside that we got is that the TV is not intelligent and we couldn't watch Netflix during the rainy days.

We had a wonderful stay! It was the perfect location as we like to walk a lot and stay a little bit away from the tourist trails. It was also a very easy spot to use public transit from and has great coffee, restaurants, and grocery store with prepared meals nearby.

The staff were incredibly lovely and the place is kept beautifully. Comfortable beds, quiet, thoughtfully designed, beautiful bathtub, complimentary locally made seasonal snacks, teas and coffees, and, they even left us a bottle of sake for our honeymoon.

We will definitely be back. Thank you!

The room we had was on the top floor and very spacious, especially considering the Japanese standard! The staff was extremely welcoming and sweet, everything was very clean and a lot of amenities were provided. The hotel is about 25min per bus from the centre of Kyoto but it has a lot of supermarkets, small stores and cafes right next to it so the location and it being rather quiet was actually perfect.

We spent 4 nights at Junhei hotel and wish we could  have spent 30 nights there . The hotel was beyond our expectations . Great location in a quaint neighborhood walking distance  to two fantastic grocery stores , laundromat , bakery and stores etc
The hotel was charming and service was 100 stars . Every staff member we met greeted us in a professional manner . The hotel was like a home away from home . Large rooms , spotless , well designed , sound proof  , delicious breakfast ordered in . We highly recommend the Junhei hotel to all visitors to Kyoto for a very sweet hotel experience with impeccable service.

My family and me were staying for three nights at THE JUNEI and I have to admit: I'm very very sorry and a bit sad that it was only for three nights. The beds were unbelievable comfortable and cozy and the room was as traditional as modern. Also to mention the staff that always greeted us with an honest and warm smile will always remember me about the Japanese hospitality. We spent a wonderful time at this hotel and I can't recommend it enough. Thank you so much for making our stay something really special.
