Absolutely delicious- very flavourful, complex and  interesting takes on Japanese/ Italian fusion. Even the simplest dish has layers of flavours that are delightful. The service was fantastic as well from start to finish with true Japanese attention to detail. We celebrated a special date here and we felt so special. Not to mention, the quality and care of our dietary restriction was so thoughtfully managed. No dish was lacking!

I had a fantastic dining experience today. The food was exquisitely presented, flavors exploded on my tastebuds. The tube pasta with a sauce made from seven types of Japanese tomatoes was excellent; however, the pasta itself was a little too al dente for me. The dessert was slightly disappointing, but the staff went the extra mile by creating a raspberry jelly on a waffle disk as my birthday cake. I appreciated the overall attentiveness of the staff. A big thumbs up!

After dinner in Ginza, we stumbled upon a stunning mural featuring a giant cat—it turned out to be the Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura. We asked if they had a bar for a cocktail or two, and the host mentioned they were closing in half an hour. If we didn't mind, we could sneak in a drink (just one, mind you). Challenge accepted!

The decor was top-notch with a whimsical flair, but the bar's lighting was so bright it felt more like a Cantonese Dim Sum Restaurant. As promised, we ordered a round of drinks, and they were delightfully delicious and refreshing. However, as we sipped, a few staff members gathered around the lift area, subtly hinting at closing time with the finesse of a silent countdown.

Overall, it's a nice spot worth checking out, just don't expect to linger too long after hours!

Looking for a really fancy night in Ginza, Tokyo? Then look no further than Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura! We made a reservation here before we arrived in Japan. You’re going to get a lovely course meal made expertly and with really fresh ingredients. If you’re looking for a lovely date night out, I don’t think you will be disappointed with this restaurant.
