Finally tried this cafe that was well known for a long time. Used to have long queues at meal times. This time I tried it at around 2pm plus and it was spacious. Overall I think the food quality is still good but maybe slightly lack the modern taste of the recent new cafes. But still a good eat nonetheless.

Fish & Chips were solid. Thin batter with a thick piece of fish.
Pasta was fantastic as well. Must try.

Delicious food with generous portions, highly recommend!

There were 5 of us and we ordered 4 mains and 2 sides, which was sufficient as the portions were generous 💯

For sides, we had truffle fries and Brussels sprouts. While the fries was well-received, the charred brussels sprouts (not pictured)  was divisive as some felt that it was too charred while others find it enjoyable. I personally really enjoyed it, especially with the accompanying brown butter dip.

The mains we ordered (pictured below) were generally decent. I especially enjoyed the big brekky as it included rosti and the hollandaise sauce went well with it. While the fried chicken was fantastic - so juicy and crispy and paired well with the house special ranch dressing, the accompanying spring pancake lacked taste and felt doughy. It would have been amazing if the pancake is crispier or flakier.

I also ordered the Caffe Mocha which was great as the coffee was fragrant and the chocolate gave it a rich mouthfeel.

I also appreciate that we were able to make reservations in advance. In addition I felt that the pricing is reasonable as we spent about $42 per pax after gst which includes a drink per person and we were all pretty full at the end of the meal.

All in all, would highly recommend ☺️
