This hotel would be fine for a work layover but it's not for a holiday break. It's lifeless and lacks character, and the room was very basic. The gym was crowded and the spa staff were miserable. The only saving grace was they let us use the spa after check out for an hour, and the breakfast staff were really friendly. Otherwise I'd have given it a 2. (Bakery in the basement is a 4 though:)

The hotel and room are beautiful. I enjoyed the sauna and spa as well. Great location. Kind staff. I recommend this hotel.

The only negatives were that when I called to ask for early check in they told me I needed to “negotiate a rate that I think is fair” for early check in, which I find extremely odd. I told them I would not be negotiating and will just check in at the normal time. When I arrived my room was ready and I could check in early for free 🤔
I also asked for a wake up call and they called me 15 minutes after the time. Thankfully the call was my plan b and I was awake already.

I recommend putting coat hooks in the room.

Beautiful hotel with courteous and professional staff. Centrally located, the rooms are nicely decorated with good amenities. The heated bathroom floor was a nice addition but I do wish guests were able to adjust the temperature in the room. Breakfast selection was good and the indoor pool and sauna was great as well.

We loved everything about this hotel.  The staff were very nice and accommodating, the breakfast in the restaurant was delicious, the Wintergarden bar had great drinks, food and service.  The room/suite was well appointed and very comfortable.  Loved the artsy atmosphere and location in Center City.  Highly recommend, would definitely stay here again.

For context we are a couple in our early 30’s, without children fyi.

We stayed for the marathon, it was the perfect distance from the start line and location for city centre. We wanted something that we could have a lovely stay and celebrate the our achievement and this hotel did that.

The spa facilities are lovely, very clean and calming. Massages were brilliant.

Food - breakfast was great, huge variety and a decent mixture of cultures, very fresh and tasty. You can also order and early breakfast which was perfect for us due to early start time with the marathon + early check out.
I would have loved slightly more variety on the room service menu.
They have a bakery on site and a restaurant that looks lovely but we didn’t make it there.

Service - very strong, friends staff across the team, especially at breakfast, it was faultless. If I’m being picky, I would have thought they would offer a turn down service as standard.

Overall - brilliant stay and worth the money.
