The "Obelisco Macuteo" is located in the historic center of Rome, in Piazza della Rotonda, near the Pantheon. This small obelisk, about 6.3 meters tall, was created in Egypt during the reign of Ramses II and brought to Rome by Emperor Domitian. It was rediscovered in the 14th century in Piazza di San Macuto.

It now stands atop the "Fontana della Rotonda," built in 1575 by architect Giacomo della Porta and later restored in 1711, with dolphins at the base and the obelisk placed on top. Together, the fountain and obelisk reach a height of nearly 15 meters.
