I had the most incredible stay at Mario de Fiori 37! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were incredibly helpful with everything – from recommending the best local restaurants to arranging transport. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Rome, with major attractions like the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain just a short walk away. It was so easy to explore the city! The hotel itself is charming, with a blend of comfort and style that made it feel like a home away from home. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience – highly recommend.

Great experience at this hotel. The staff is very accommodating. The rooms are impeccable shape .
Location is very convenient to everything .
They surprised us with a bottle of wine on our last day .

Pros:
1. The bathroom was excellent.
2.The room was quiet.
3. The hotel staff was generally helpful.
Cons:
1. Deceptive advertising.  Many of the photos on Expedia are of a different hotel.  Mario De Fiori 37 is close by above a bar.
Check-In for Mario De Fiori  is at the bar.
2. The Expedia listing shows elevator access .  The elevator did not go up to our floor.  The stairs were an unexpected issue because they were narrow and steep.
3. The stairs were dimly lit and a loose handrail was dangerous.
4. The room had different levels and more stairs in the room.
5. The sloped ceiling was low.   There is a danger of banging your head in the ceiling.
6. The elevator was too small to allow larger people to use it and it does not go to all rooms.
7. The person checking us in dod not seem to want to show is how the lights, air-conditioning or power worked in the room.

Overall the hotel is not suitable for seniors or those with limited mobility or small children.

Finally, the hotel charged a $12/night room tax upon checkout however, the  room tax quoted by City law is $7.50 per night.

A truly gem, this is definitely the beautiful boutique hotel to stay in Rome. Amazing location, staff is so accommodating.
Rooms are beautifully decorated.

Huge rooms in the busiest location in Rome, a block away from the Spanish steps. Gets a bit noisy with restaurant music at night, but you close those amazing windows, and it turns into a very light sleeper music. Staff was very helpful, and the hotel managed to squeeze a tiny but necessary elevator in there. So walkable, accessible, and the streets are alive with dining and gelato.
