This was a disappointing and very expensive experience for us. The two elements which were quite crucial were absolutely terrible. The food was atrocious- Plenty of choice yet nothing to eat, you would find the same food multiple times throughout the meals, at buffet, then at dinner, then at the buffet as well which tells me that they re-use food until it goes bad. The bread and pastry felt old and hard to eat. The cooked meals were often full of salt. It felt like a cheap canteen.

Also even though the location and views are absolutely superb, the hotel itself is incredibly old . The restaurant area and the overall place is from the 90s with absolutely nothing changed to it.

The reason this is quite disappointing is because when you pay €300/ night you would have expectations a lot higher than this.

Even though I did my research, the positive comments threw me off but they are 100% not true. I wish I had taken some pictures of the actual elements to show how old and bad it looked.

The staff was lovely however but I would not credit that to the hotel but rather to the kind Italian spirit. It gave me the impression that they were trying their best yet the hotel ownership was all about making as much money and offering the lowest standards . Huge, huge disappointment!

We paid so much money (4-digit amount per day), but for sure it‘s not worth it! The rooms are very aged, the kids beds are not even real beds, it‘s a mattress on stone in the living room.
Actually, the staff are very polite and helpful!
Talking about the resort itself, there is no attention for any detail. A 5 star hotel and than you have to pay extra for the sun bed!
The restaurants are fully booked so you have to organise minimum a day before.

We had a fantastic babymoon staying in the suite with a seaview. We went for B&B but the food was actually fantastic in all the locations throughout the day, so we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner there. We would recommend doing the all-inclusive option as limited restaurant options nearby.
The beach is fantastic for views and swimming.
The beach bar staff were amazing - thank you Sara and Salvatore especially for great service throughout. We really enjoyed the pistocchu dish and the Hugo Spritz.

In the buffet the food was excellent with different dishes on offer and great service from Michela.

The gym was good, with great hikes/trail runs nearby.

Our room was a great size and had lovely views of the bay.

All round we could not recommend it more.

It was good, but It wasn't perfect, starting from prices, the last thing I would have thought about was that we pay 4 euros for water, no one informed us about it and several times we asked for water that we didn't even open, if I had known that it was paid for I would have taken it to the room. No one even offered it to us. Similarly with wine, if we pay 45 euros per person for a buffet and someone comes up to us offering us a glass of wine, they should have informed us that this glass is paid for, another thing is the pizzeria, if they offer to deliver pizza to the room it would be nice to also get cutlery, because we ate a calzone like a burger without even a plate or knife, the second time we ordered pizza we didn't get cutlery and a plate again, in addition the pizza was completely cold, I wonder why, since the pizzeria is 150 meters on foot from the room, and the person came by melex. Generally, a hotel shouldn't have more than 4 stars, I've been to many places and they are far from a 5-star hotel.

We enjoyed a perfect stay at the beautiful Hotel Marinedda Thalasso and Spa. The staff were, without exception, attentive, kind and professional. Our room was kept very clean and enjoyed a pretty sea view. The meals were exceptional. My husband is coeliac and the gluten-free choices were fabulous. There were no issues with cross-contamination. We loved using the spa; the pools; and the beach. We look forward very much to returning. Thank you to all involved, especially Anna, who was truly lovely x
