Anyone who has been to Portugal quickly understands the importance of cod (bacalhau) in Portuguese cuisine. Being Portuguese myself, I have to confess that I was the exception since I never really understood the cult being this ingredient. After visiting Bacalhau & Afins I have changed my kind. The way they prepared cod is nothing short of a work of art. The dishes were original and flavourful mixing ingredients in a unique way which paired with melt in your mouth cos made the dinning experience absolutely incredible. I cannot recommend it enough.

Great food, amazing service from the moment we were seated.  They made us feel seen and valued.  The food was extremely tasty and very reasonably priced.  I would highly recommend.

Excellent restaurant. The dishes were cooked to perfection. The staff was very nice. We liked everything here: the ambiance, the food, the service. Would come back.
We had pasteis de bacalhau, bacalhau a lagareiro, kids menu with beef steak and a wonderful house dessert.

Amazing, truly amazing food quality starting from the started, the codfish, and the dessert as well. Excellent service on top of that, highly recommended!

If you visit Aveiro, you must come to this place to eat. What an amazing experience! We were travelling and chose this place for lunch, and besides the amazing welcoming staff, the food is excellent! Codfish is king here and there are many ways to taste it, you won't be sorry! To repeat for sure!!!
