We absolutely loved our stay at Santuari De Lluc! The drive there was so beautiful, it is up in the mountains with beautiful views all around. There are really well maintained trails on the property, one that leads up to a peak and a cross at the top with the most breath taking views. And goats to say hi to on your walk!
The staff were all very friendly, the food was very good, we liked how the menu changed depending on what day of the week it was.
Our room was very clean with a beautiful view of the courtyard and the mountains.
We absolutely recommend staying here, we can't wait to go back!

I can't really believe many of the bad reviews. The rooms are basic but clean and spacious (I'm in a studio on the top floor overlooking the courtyard). It's incredibly beautiful up here, especially in the mornings and evenings. I'm here in September, and there are tourists in the day, but it doesn't feel too hectic or noisy.

I find the monastery atmosphere is still here, especially in the evenings and mornings, it's so peaceful and a lovely respite from the noise and chaos of much of the rest of the island. There are lots of places to sit quietly, and reflect, have some time to yourself. It feels very rare these days

The gardens and courtyard are beautiful, the chapel is lovely and quiet if you want to sit in silence. The staff have been really friendly and helpful

breakfast was a bit basic, but for the price I was still very happy with it.

The only improvement I'd say would be to not play music from the restaurant until later in the day, to allow the morning to be quiet and to feel the monastic atmosphere. They play nice appropriate music though, jazz mostly, and at a good volume.

I will definitely come back

price and location are big pluses for Santuari De Lluc. Even driving here late at night, reaching just before the reception close was worth it. I had the single bed private room and though simple, it was practical. rooms are heated, shower was strong, clean, breakfast included (although it's a cold breakfast). you can spend hours exploring the grounds, garden, pool (close in winter), hiking paths, nearby views, museum, church, and simply relax.

Location, location, location is by far the best aspect of Sanctuari de Lluc. It's stunning and well worth a stay. However, I'm here now in October, weather is sunny, warm and perfect temperature for an active holiday, I'm here cycling. Having read the reviews I confirm just one fan in the room would not be adequate in the scorching summer heat. I'm in the main building so no problem with smells as some here have mention but been here 3 nights and no sign of room service yet to clean the room. My initial concern was no lock on the door, I felt very unnerved by this despite traveling alone all the time without a problem and during an exceptionally windy night it blew open and scared the living daylight out of me 😱. No fire safety instructions in the room, in fact no information whatsoever eg meal times, opening times etc. Plug sockets not working although I managed to find 2 in the room that did work. I selected mountain view and considering I only paid £66 per night, booked in March early so consider this an amazingly great price but room extremely basic. Good aspects, plenty of hot water, very comfy bed with memory foam mattress, lovely view and airy with 3 windows to open, on the top floor. I can hear children playing but it's not loud enough to be a nuisance and here in October it's peaceful. Pool is still open, must be due to weather still warm enough. Breakfast is decent enough, continental and enough choice to get by. Fresh and plenty of it. No extra options available and whilst the breakfast room is big enough to cater for guests as it's the evening and lunch dining area, I was often sitting at a dirty table as staff weren't cleaning and relaying for guests. It's a shame there is also NO GUEST LOUNGE to relax in at the end of an evening and rooms so small and basic your not wanting to spend any more time there than is necessary. Overall it's a good stay for a short break but things could be improved, particularly SAFETY!
