A little chunk of history pertaining to the English langue of the Order of St John. St John Gate is a essential stop to those who volunteer with the modern day charity of St John Ambulance. If there, don't forget to visit the museum nestled inside the gate.

Ancient gate built by the Order of Hospitaliers from Jerusalem. Was destroyed during Wat Tylers rebellion in 1300s and rebuilt in the  15th century as it is today. Really ancient, historical place with great medieval character and atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

The 2 ladies on reception were warm and helpful.

Really interesting museum telling the story of the origin of the well known & vital St John's Ambulance Brigade and First Aiders, often seen at events.

This gorgeous historical venue is available for hire for parties and events.  The church is rarely open to the public whichnis a great shame but the medicinal garden is open to the public and it's a wonderful quiet place.
