We have been staying at The Metro every time we visit San Francisco for years.  All of the people who work there are very nice and helpful.  There are lots of great places to eat within walking distance.  You might get lucky and find parking out front.  If not, there is a parking garage within walking distance.  The place is cute as can be and very, very clean.  We have always felt safe walking at night in this area.  I cannot think of one bad thing to say!

The Metro is a clean, lovely, boutique hotel. The location is perfect, the rooms are quaint, small, but extremely clean and comfortable, and the employees are wonderful! The towels are fluffy and white, the sheets and blankets are wonderfully cozy, the rooms are beautiful, and the stay was exactly what we needed. Two doors down is a great coffee roaster so the first person awake is tasked with bringing the lazy one a cappuccino! Would definitely stay again!

This hotel is a work of art in itself.  It is literally full of abstract pieces both in common areas and private rooms.  And according to the staff, the artworks are original pieces by one of the original owners.
The rooms are small with clean lines and the basics of modern hotel rooms.  No micro or fridge, yes wireless and blow dryer.  There are several restaurant choices within walking distance (I loved Brenda's for breakfast).

I loved this hotel so much! One of my favorites I’ve ever stayed. It had a great location and felt really cozy. The standard queen was a bit small for two people, but we’d probably just book a bigger room next time since they do have bigger options. Loved it and definitely will be staying here again in the future.

My old buddies growing up invited me to a gaming weekend in SF so I snagged this place for a few nights because of the price and location. I made the right choice. The staff made me feel more than just welcome -  they had my back during my whole stay be it though advice on the City or simply checking in via text to see if I needed anything. Huge shoutout to the front desk. Elise especially she was so chill and fun.
