Excellent experience at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile Hotel.
I liked that it was a block away from major bus and train lines. When combined with an unlimited metro pass, you can get nearly any tourist spots for just a few bucks.
It is just down the street from Goddess and the Baker (one of the best breakfast spots in Chicago).
Room was quiet and clean.
Elevators were fast.
Lobby had enough space, even when busy.
The staff was responsive and helpful.
I would stay here again.

Excellent hotel experience! Status was recognized and we were given a quiet room with a great view. The fitness center here is a highlight - all the equipment of a luxury gym! The lounge (for Platinum and above members) had excellent service. Lounge is open for breakfast daily and evening appetizers Monday-Thursday. Would stay again, especially during the week when the lounge is open in the evenings.

The staff at this hotel is not trained properly. They incorrectly charged the wrong credit card for our stay and after 2 weeks, it hasn’t been resolved yet. Even when this is an error on their part, they don’t take the correct measures to fix it. Rafael, the manager, does not take responsibility for their mistakes and does not call back. Their level of service for being a top Brand is quite poor. We had trouble with our WiFi and could never connect, the rooms were not cleaned well and the staff constantly gave us wrong information. One good thing about the hotel is the location but there are many other Bonvoy hotels nearby that would offer better service. Don’t stay here.

It's my first time in Chicago.
We're downtown, and it's confusing.

As for Marriott, it is nice looking.
The lobby is very nice and inviting.

The rooms are small and dated.

The particular room we stayed in was drafty.
The temps outside this weekend we're 35 and 40 degrees.
If we're the one sleeping on the window side, you were cold.

You can hear the elevators going up and down.

You hear 🚨 sirens all day and into late night.
The windows in our room would  constantly build up with condensation to the point that we could not see out of them.

However housekeeping was ON POINT, and very kind 😇,  and They seem to arrive about the same time each day.

The staff at the front desk was kind as well.

The staff at Rush Street Pantry was LOVELY 😍,  I really enjoyed Elizabeth she has personally and good customer service.

The view was nice for a downtown view.

The Reviver lounging area was GREAT for talking and people watching.

Stayed here for a week on a business trip in Feb 2025. Overall the stay was excellent. Awesome downtown Chicago views outside the floor-to-ceiling windows. The Club Lounge is awesome, as they typically are. Centrally located in the Magnificent Mile area, just north of the Loop. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby, within walking distance. Would stay here again!
