I’ll admit, I was not too excited to go back but I was wrong.  Beignets were hot, light, fresh, and delicious.  Hot chocolate was piping hot and sweet.  It was cold outside that helped to enhance the experience.  I have been when it’s hot outside and hot fried dough with hot chocolate can be too much.  I crushed it all and wanted more.  Waitress was personable and didn’t delay.  Powdered sugar falling in hot chocolate when dipping it made it better.

Amazing atmosphere and a classic spot with a simple menu done very well! Of course it’s a super touristy spot but we figured we’d give it a try. While the beignets were not the best I tried in New Orleans, they were absolutely delicious nonetheless. Topped it off with a great iced coffee and jazz music playing all the while!

Had to visit the iconic shop and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the fried delights. Walk right in and seat yourself for instant table service to choose the number of treats and a cafe aulait! Orders come in sets of 3 buried in powdered sugar. Hot coffee was the perfect pairing.

Visitors must check this place out. Great food. Great staff. The way they take your order is a little unusual but that's part of the experience. Remember: don't breathe in when you eat the beignet (you'll cough from powdered sugar).

I see your history and I appreciate but you’ve got to back it up with quality food. The donuts were very average, nothing special at all. Not a lot of flavour in the dough itself and the frosting does add something but not a lot. I’m sure back 100 years ago this recipe was hands down a revelation but today? In America with its amazing donuts? There’s just better to be had. I would say the prices were quite good considering their popularity and “tourist-trapness”.
