Fantastic decor. It does have a Wes Anderson does Indian vibe. The food menu is a bit brief and the drinks menu is 75% of the pages. Decent food, some are creative and fusion style, but the prices are on the expensive side. Impeccable service from the wait staff.

Went here as a group of 4 and had made reservations for 8 pm. We arrived at 7:55 pm and had to wait for over half an hour to get our table. I echo the sentiments of other Yelp reviews for this place... they seriously need some lessons on scheduling, to avoid such high wait times. A few mins (10/15) is understandable.

We ordered 2 cocktails which included Bollywood Swingin ($12) and Hanging out with Ravi Shankar ($12), and Bollywood Swingin' was a winner. Our group got carried away by the name of the other cocktail.

We ordered the Egg Kejriwal Toast ($14), Bombay Three Chili Chicken Fry ($15), Lamb Haleem Curry ($15), and Goan Crab Cakes ($18) from their small plates menu. Lamb Haleem Curry was a clear winner and we ordered it once more. The other three were "meh".

For mains, we got the Rice Flaked Halibut ($26) and Goan Pork Ribs Vindaloo ($27)... sadly, both were not that great at all. In fact, the Vindaloo was really salty and we had to send it back. We also ordered the Chocolate, Vanilla and Mango Kulfi ($16) for dessert... The Vanilla was the best one, and others were not that great at all.

Service overall was quite nice, and the staff was kind enough to take off the Vindaloo from our order. It felt as if the seasoning was one of the packaged curry sauce that you get at any Indian grocery stores. The Bombay Bread Bar has done a great job at naming their dishes and they have definitely put in a good effort with the ambiance... sadly the food lacks serious flavor. Also, there is nothing "Bombay" about it!

Wow this is my favorite Indian restaurant, the staffs was so nice and friendly, attentive also. The atmosphere was lively yet cozy and comfortable. The food was amazing, aromatic and flavorful. I recommend trying their tikka chicken that's was excellent. Overall great restaurant and will be telling all my Co workers to come eat.

The food was ok, nothing outstanding about the flavors. We ordered eight items for three people but no one was trying to get the last bite of any of the dishes because they were all underwhelming. The dishes were also on the smaller side and tasted average which did not justify the above average cost. The vibe inside is great and even though the restaurant was full, the service was quick. It did feel crowded because how busy it was.

None of the curry dishes come with an accompaniment so make sure to order a bread or rice.

Wonderful food and attentive service. As we entered, we were welcomed by the wonderful scents of spices. We got the squash blossom pakoras stuffed with goat cheese, Pao and a chutney sampler; the tomato was our favorite. The Tinga was wonderful; it was delicious but had some serious heat.
We got the rice-crusted Halibut (with watermelon curry) and the Hyderabadi Goat. Both were delicious. The Halibut was a great light summer dish. The goat was moist, tender and flavorful.
We ended with the Vanilla Bean Kulfi and Grilled Pineapple. (They ran out of the Gulab Nut which was a bummer.) They had taken the Massala Chai off menu which was also disappointing. We had spent a month backpacking around India and loved trying the different chais; so, I wish we could try Chef Cardoz's chai recipe.
We miss Tabla terribly but had a really wonderful experience at Paowalla!  We'll be back!
