The place to go for a nostalgic Shanghai experience. Excellent food, well presented by the chefs and delivered by attentive staff. The view of Pudong across Huangpu river is magnificent. The restaurant is spacious and tastefully decorated. A must on every visit to Shanghai.

Had dinner on New year day , truly amazing experience coupled with lovely view of the bund once you go to level 7 at the balcony .

We had the new year tasting menu which had the key dishes this restaurant is renowned for .
Special call out to to Chen , Rofel for the excellent service , which made my wedding anniversary very memorable.

The dishes were exquisitely presented .
The caviar and egg a simple dish elevated by technique. The oysters were chilled well and fresh , choice of 2 sauces. They had one of the best foie gras I had , not overcooked , it was still succulent and the green apple mousse complemented the dish.

Grilled squab was tender , cooked medium rare.
The amadai fish was to die for , the sauce had me using my bread to soak up the delicious sauce .

Much has changed in Shanghai in the decade since we last visited, but the food and service at Jean-Georges restaurant inside Three on the Bund is still magnificent, and we were lucky to get a table with a view of the iconic Oriental Pearl TV tower. You have to try their signature chocolate lava cake, which is the main reason we came back for, but all the other courses in our lunch menu were also delicious, all the way down to the amuse bouche. Michelin star well deserved!

Not worth the price. Had the crispy short rib with polenta with chili Chianti sauce The flavor is a quite one dimensional. Sauce was just a sweet taste that is like reduced balsamic vinegar. Nothing to balance all the oily fried stuff. Short rib is also deep fried and not roasted till crispy. Only worth it if maybe it's 50% the price. Dish was 60USD btw.

View is amazing though.
