Found this place on Michelin restaurant guide and also recommended by local hostel we are staying at. They have won lots of awards, on their wall. They are open for dinner 5pm-8pm, and seem to get busy fast. We came at 1715 on a Tuesday and got a table for four immediately, but there were a few groups sitting outside waiting when we left. They do takeout. Food was good quality, tasty and very reasonably priced (170 yuan total). Not too spicy, so even people who don't like spicy food will find something to eat. Lovely wait staff, who even enforced the non-smoking indoors policy, which was amazing!! The restaurant was comfortable and clean, especially because of the lack of smokers. I would definitely go back if I'm passing through Chengdu again.

Probably the most authentic family style Sichuan restaurant in Chengdu atm… and the 3rd gen owner coming from design background… so you know the details and quality of their food is top notch (not easy to find in most Chinese restaurants these days)
