This place, located near my stay at the Comfort Inn Roppongi, was packed with people when I arrived with a friend. Despite the wait of about 20 minutes, it was worth it.

The food was delicious, and the best part was the attentive host. He would ask about our food preferences and dietary restrictions, making an effort to prepare something special for us.

As a vegetarian, I was delighted to find that they had a great selection of vegetarian dishes.

The restaurant is open late, and they will serve you food if you can wait for your turn, especially during the nighttime.

I had a wonderful time here, and the host was incredibly warm and considerate. We had a great conversation about various topics, and he was particularly passionate about Senna, a Formula 1 driver.

I always look for a place with a good playlist, and this place definitely has it. They have a diverse range of music, from Indian classics to rock bands, catering to all tastes.

If you’re in Roppongi, I highly recommend this place.

Once i stepped in i knew it, this is it. The charisma of this place speaks volumes. The music choice, humble wisdom, welcoming cosy vibe and the music stars that passed this spot is a statement. Oh, and you can get delicious dishes as well. This is my definite go-to place when I'm in Roppongi. Meet Bonnie the owner, he is a gift.

Probably the best Indian food I’ve had in Japan. But best was talking with B-San!  What a wonderful human!  I had Bhindi dish and chai. So delicious. My son had the chicken tikka masala and cheese naan and mango lassi. Don’t miss this place!

Delicious!! Highly recommend going to this place for authentic Indian. The owner was so nice and hospitable, the food was SO good. We had the samosas, butter chicken, chicken hot pepper and aloo gobi.

First off, very tiny and cramped space. The food made up for the elbow rubbing with strangers though. Best value are the lunch sets that include choice of drinks. Tried the "Two Curry Lunch" which included choice of 2 curries, naan or rice, salad & drink. Also, tried the "Ladies Lunch" which is the same as above plus an appetizer and dessert for only ¥80 more. Overall, very tasty Indian food, friendly service and at a reasonable price. The shop is about a 6-7 minutes walk from Roppongi Station, Exit #3.

This little Indian restaurant in Akasaka/Roppongi is some of the best Indian food I have had in terms of freshness. We went on New Year's Day as it was one of the few restaurants open, which meant we had to wait to get in, and then our food took a very long time. The owner did come and personally apologize and explained that it's because they make everything fresh. I accepted his apology because indeed the food tasted very fresh - unlike a lot of Indian restaurants where it tastes as though they are just reheating pre-made food, def not the case at Downtown B's. The decor and atmosphere are a little bizarre - there is what can only be described as a shrine to a deceased Brazilian race car driver all over the walls, which biblical versus interspersed in here and there. Totally random and incomprehensible decor. But don't come for the atmosphere come for the quality of the food!

My search for comfort food In Roppongi brought me to Downtown B's. A tiny establishment with inspirational quotes posted all over its wall. The service lead by Bonnie himself was attentive and prompt. His desire to make sure each customer felt comfortable was heartwarming. Loved the food. Was just what I was looking for after a 15 hour flight from NY. Tasty, light and homely. I search for Chapatis at all India restaurants and now I have found a place in Tokyo. Love your work Bonnie. Keep up with the spirit - you and your restaurant are amazing.

Excellent Indian food was not necessarily on my list of predictions when I was venturing out during my trip to Tokyo, but that's exactly what I found, and maybe I shouldn't be at all surprised. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Downtown B's is small, as in, very very can only accomodate maybe eight people indoors small. Even so, that's not exactly abnormal for Tokyo, and I was able to get a seat even during a crowded rush hour. Service was fast, friendly, and both English and Japanese speaking, which was fun to watch. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? $9.00 for a two-curry lunch was a solid price point, and while the portions of curry weren't massive, the piece of naan most certainly was. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? Very good stuff. The butter chicken was rich and went beautifully with the light and fluffy naan, and the pepper chicken had a nice twisty tang to it. To top it off, the white rice was excellent, and my only complaints were that the curry wasn't quite as thick as I typically like and the quantity of chicken in both curries was very light. Single Star. Star 5: Would you be excited to go back? Fantastic Indian in Tokyo, who would have thought? Star.

I want to start off by saying that I'm normally not a curry type of person. However, I was traveling with a friend that is Vegan so we were looking for places where we could both eat from. This restaurant popped up with vegan options so I decided to give it a try. This was the best experience I could have had. The restaurant is small but it feels cozy. The staff is so nice and so so accommodating with food restrictions and questions! (Bc I always have many) and the food. The food was soooo good! The flavor was the perfect amount of savory while not being overwhelming. I will definitely be thinking of their chicken curry and rice when I go back home.

Cannot begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our dinner at Downtown B's. The food was absolutely delicious and full of interesting and complex spices and flavors. We also loved getting acquainted and talking with Mr. B--the very kind, helpful and warm owner/chef. He offered us suggestions and good recommendations. It was a meal to remember. While visiting Japan, alone, I came across "THE" best Indian food in Tokyo. The staff and owner provide the best experience imaginable. This is a MUST if you are in Roppongi. I highly recommend DOWNTOWNB's after experiencing excellent service, a cozy atmosphere, and great eats.

This is the most excellent Indian food and perhaps the best I've ever had. The staff could not be friendlier. The butter chicken is a MUST. I had 5 days in Tokyo and had 3 meals here. I can't wait to come back and visit!

Such a cute little hut restaurant. Only 5 tables inside. Such cheerful and fun vibe in the restaurant. I came here to order to go. I had single curry meal with palak paneer. They pack well for me. No worry about leak on my way home. I loved the meal! Palak Paneer had a good punch but addictive! Naan was huge! It has slight sweetness to it. Perfect contract with the spicy curry. I also like the pickled onion. I hope to return here more while I am in Tokyo.
