I stayed in the hotel for two nights. It’s a good location if you would like to Bucharest attractions. There are a lot different restaurants around. But it’s all. Room was no so clean: debris and hair on the carpet. It was problem with ventilation. Extractor didn’t work in the bathroom. There is a night club in 100m, it works till 5.00 a.m. There are renovation works opposite the windows, you can hear it since 8.00. The biggest “surprise” is a cockroach in the bathroom.

An average hotel, relatively old and not well-maintained, but the service is fine, and they fix anything needed, so overall, we were satisfied. The location is excellent—right in the heart of everything.

Hotel location is great, restaurant staff and food are awesome.
I felt a sharp pain in my face in the morning, only to find a sewing needle was placed in the pillow. This issue was raised with hotel staff to no avail 3 times over two days.
I asked for the hotel manager who was away until we left the hotel.
I wrote the manager and advised what happened as a courtesy, I sent photos if the needle attached with the managers card.
There's been no response from the hotel after 12 days.
Terrible service, shame great place to stay.

Placed in the middel of Bucharest, near legendary Capsa and Odeon Theatre, Capitol Hotel is a piece of art, good taste and wellbeing place.

Enjoy a Romanian lunch buffet for 49 lei, from Monday to Friday, between 12 pm and 3 pm, with a wide range of dishes, from salads and meat dishes to soups and desserts, served in the elegant atmosphere that only a hotel can offer. The menu changes daily and we were impressed by the hotel restaurant's willingness to let guests try a variety of Romanian dishes. I was also impressed by the way they serve a French-origin Colton Blue in a special corner, and by the live electronic piano music, so as not to bore anyone other than first-time guests. Drinks are extra. There is no seat charge required, 49 lei + drinks is the total price. My only one regret was that I operated my own espresso machine in the restaurant, which was next to the all-you-can-eat bread section, and unknowingly served myself a cappuccino. Although it was of course my own fault, I would have seen a notice on the machine to avoid any unnecessary trouble. We thought that foreign tourists would be the main visitors to the restaurant, but surprisingly we saw many locals, mainly elderly people. The tables in the restaurant are for four or more people, so although there is some sharing of seats when the restaurant is crowded, the turnover rate of customers in the restaurant was high and they were leaving within an hour.
