The bánh xèo was amazing!! Perfect crunch and lots of filling. I was also very happy that they gave lots of fresh herbs with the dish.

I used to really like this dish from their restaurant before , but don’t know why it doesn’t taste the same as before anymore, perhaps it’s just today or I am not sure.

The restaurant is in a very cute neighborhood, the atmosphere is chill and really nice. We got the pho, banh mi, summer rolls and banh xeo. The banh xeo was delicious. The Pho was also pretty great. Summer rolls were fresh and nice, the banh mi was good but nothing special. Portions are big and prices are good. Recommend for Vietnamese lovers. 😊

With so many good Vietnamese restaurants in Gothenburg, it’s a well competed field. Duy-Tan at Kvilletorget has been around for a while and that’s something you can feel. The place is a bit tired, but the wholesome smiles of the staff try to make up for that. In terms of food, however, options are limited. Few dishes, mostly not Vietnamese such as a Red Curry, are found for vegans. If you do go for Vietnamese flavours, such as Bun Chay, you get a bit of an interesting composition with cashews instead of peanuts and a lack of fresh herbs. Topped with some cheap spring rolls, but the vegetables are fresh and crunchy. It’s not bad, by any means, and cheap as well with 119 SEK, but it’s not really what you want from a Vietnamese restaurant. Alright is the best expression I can come up with. I can see myself come again, but more if I am hungry and not really picky. Duy-Tan does this quite adequately, and I guess that’s one achievement in it’s own way.

We had the Bon Bo Hue and it tasted authentic and well, we were happy with the food. The price was a bit steep for the food and considering the location, but alright. The venue is what you can expect from a lunch place, simpler interior and when you want to have a quicker meal, not for long dining. The staff was friendly.
