We booked a tour through Vibe Adventures via the Get Your Guide app to visit a Monarch Butterfly sanctuary. They coordinated with us to pick us up at our hotel in Mexico City and utilized a private driver to take us to the sanctuary. Once there, we were able to experience one of the last groups of Monarchs before they migrate North. Our guide Diego was fantastic and very knowledgeable! We had a great lunch in nearby Angangueo and learned about the town's history as well. Overall, we were very pleased with our tour and would recommend the experience to everyone!

We loved our tour of Sierra Chuincua Butterfly Sanctuary. We rode horses up the mountain a bit then walked further into the butterflies. 100% amazing sites. My cheeks hurt from smiling so much. Peaceful, beautiful, almost sacred experience. Diego was great at answering our questions, but also letting us enjoy the views. We were lucky that in mid-March we caught so much butterfly action. On our way out we shopped the little market and Diego was so helpful mediating/helping us communicate with our very minimal Spanish.

Only downside: the car. It was 3 hours from our hotel in Mexico City. There were 3 of us, plus Diego the tour guide and a driver - so 5 people. The car we were in was for 4 people (as in, no seatbelt or headrest for the middle person). Too small for 5. We were jammed into that backseat so tight - for 6 hours. Not comfortable.

Wow! We booked the 15 Day Ruins tour on our first trip to Mexico with our 14 year old son. The tour was meticulously organised and my thanks go out to the Vibe team. A special shout out to Mischel our guide who was knowledgeable, warm, friendly, kind and just went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. Nothing was too much trouble including departing from the schedule when I became unwell and translating for me at the doctor. I would recommend anyone considering this trip to book. I took the Sierra Chincua tour in January and it was a perfect day trip from Mexico City.  There was a nice car for the longish drive, about 4 hrs each way. The butterfly sanctuary was stunning. The butterflies were flying all around and the views were fabulous.  The hike was about 2.5 miles and not terribly hard or technical. There was enough effort to feel the payoff when getting to see the butterflies.  Afterwards, lunch and a guided stroll in Angangueo was a treat. We had Diego as the guide and he was attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. I highly recommend this tour.

We had our tour on 9/28 with Pepe. First, I want to say what a great guide he was! He was so full of knowledge and showed a lot of enthusiasm of the places we went. Teotihuacán was probably where we stayed the longest and it was amazing! I would definitely book again! The rain did not stop us either. He had an umbrella for us as well when it started pouring. Overall because of Pepe and his knowledge, we had an amazing time. Even got our little ones involved.
