Everything was great, except walking through the door. It really felt like we were an inconvenience to the hostess. Inside, it's a different story. We loved sitting among the trees on the deck next to the lagoon. Overall, there are LOTS of seating options and they did a great job keeping the natural environment intact. It feels like you are close to nature when you chill out at La Playita.

Our waiter was very helpful. Our chicken burger and mini-empanadas were very tasty. The speaker next to our first table was too loud to have a conversation, so we moved to a different table.

We first visited this restaurant a year ago, and after coming back recently, I’m thrilled to say that nothing has changed. The food is still absolutely fantastic! It’s rare to find a place that maintains such a high standard of quality over time, but this restaurant truly delivers.

One of the things I love most is how diverse and tempting the menu is. Over the course of my visits, I’ve had the chance to try many different dishes, and each one was better than the last. It honestly becomes harder to decide what to order because everything is so delicious. Whether you’re in the mood for something hearty or light, you’re guaranteed to find something that will leave you satisfied.

The atmosphere is another highlight. The restaurant has a wonderful vibe, perfect for both a relaxing lunch or a more intimate dinner. The staff is welcoming and attentive, making the whole experience even better.

Practical details also make it a great choice. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food, and there’s even parking available for customers, which is incredibly convenient.

Whether it’s lunch or dinner, I know that every time I return to Bacalar, this restaurant will be at the top of my list. It’s a place you’ll want to come back to again and again. Highly recommended!

I've been here before and the food was great.

Not sure what happened on this visit but all the food was over cooked, way overcooked.  The fried shrimp, onion rings all of it was so hard it was uneatable.  I tried peeling the breading off to eat a shrimp but it too was over cooked.

We just fed our plates to a cat, he needed more than we did. :)

Came here twice. Pedro was a great server. They were nice to my dogs. Lots of vegetarian options too. Nice wines by the bottle and a killer spicy margarita.
