Great way to spend a morning or afternoon. The waterfalls are super impressive and you can swim in two. Beware of the route though (especially between waterfalls 2 and 3). It’s very slipper, super steep and rocky. I’d definitely recommend proper hiking boots with good grip!! Other than that it isn’t a strenuous or long hike, just a bit precarious at points.

Great hike! Beautiful and well indicated. 10$ per person paid at a cabin up the trail. You have to depart before 3pm as they consider a 2h hike and close at 5pm.

Embarking on our first hike at The Lost Waterfalls in Panama was both a challenging and rewarding experience. Despite the sore muscles the next day, we had absolutely no regrets. The trail, which took us about three hours to complete at a leisurely pace, offered plenty of scenic spots to rest and soak in the majestic views.

For a modest $10 admission fee, the natural beauty that awaited us was worth every penny. There are three stunning waterfalls along the route, each surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant wildlife, making for a truly immersive nature experience.

However, this hike is not for the faint of heart. There are several tough sections where ropes tied to trees and rocks are essential for stability. Wearing the right shoes is crucial, and be prepared to get a bit muddy. We were fortunate to have perfect weather, but it's important to note that the trail could become near impossible with even moderate rain.

In summary, The Lost Waterfalls hike is a must for those who appreciate nature’s beauty and are up for a bit of a challenge. Just be sure to come prepared and enjoy every moment of this breathtaking adventure.

Beautiful hike with 3 waterfalls. We ended up parking our car at the entrance near the pipeline trail and walking about 0.6 miles on the road to the right of the pipeline trail to the entrance of the lost waterfalls trail. This part was paved and mostly uphill, but there is parking close to the entrance of the lost waterfalls too. Entrance fee was $10 per person but was worth it and felt like the trails were well maintained.

From someone who lives normally at zero elevation, the hike was difficult but manageable for someone who is in shape. It took us 3.5 hours to complete including stopping at each waterfall and swimming in 2 of the waterfalls.  Waterfall 2&3 can be swam in, water was cold but worth the experience to swim. It is cooler on this hike as it is very shaded from the trees and higher elevation than in Boquete. Areas of the hike are steep with some of the portions with ropes to assist getting up and down. Overall, I recommend this hike, we had fun!

Inflation takes its toll, right now you got to pay 10 bucks each to enter the private property. Apart from this annoyment we enjoyed the hike to the three cascades a lot. The paths wind cleverly through the rising terrain and they are partly secured by wooden steps. At some point you have to use ropes to manage the steep climbs - a challenging task, especially in the rain. You will get rewarded by nice views into the rainforest and on the three cascades, which  don't break any records but are beautiful to look at and provide an opportunity for swimming if you can tolerate cold water.
