We loved this place so much we went back numerous times during our stay. And I tend to be picky. I imagine though if it was busy, it might be a different experience.

Folk is an awesome oasis in the middle of Ubud. This was my experience. It has really good, interesting food, very attentive and friendly service and a lovely pool area with much more interesting cabanas than most of the beach clubs elsewhere.

The ONLY downside is the cocktails. They're a bit too uniform, they need some layering of the elements to give them a little more interest.

The bar has a few seats in the pool so you can swim up to the bar and sit in the pool.   The small tapas that you get free when you pay for entry is really very delicious.

All the food was delicious... And interesting. We were consistently impressed with everything we tried.

Beautiful location and vibes. For the price definitely worth it! You even get a towel! I went already 2 times and will definitely come back. The food and staff are really good. When I went the 2nd time, they already recognised me! I easily stay there for 5 hours!

What a hidden gem, tucked away at the back of another restaurant. We visited for their movie night, which happens every Tuesday. Such a cool experience! We booked through WhatsApp, which was really easy. They had plenty of comfy deck chairs and sofas set up. The staff were really attentive without interrupting the movie. And on a plus side the food was great too!

This is the perfect haven of peace down an alleyway off the very busy Monkey Forest road. You can swim, have a drink and eat (though we just had drinks). We liked it so much we went back again to meet a friend. Our hotel had a pool so we didn't use the pool at Folk, but if you don't have a pool where you're staying this is a great place to come spend the day with shady seating and cabanas to rent. There is a bar upstairs with live music in the evenings that we would definitely have gone to if we'd had more time.

Solid 5 stars for the excellent service, food and ambiance. Love their daily catch fillet with that lemon butter sauce, fried rice, chicken garlic pizza and pork ribs. We have a few drinks and would like to do a shoutout to bartender Wayan our new friend. Cheers
