An ok experience. Visited at dusk hence managed to see the progression of Kaoshiung from day to night. Very limited riders hence was able to hop on to a gondola immediately after getting the tickets.

Gondola was a lot smaller vs those that I have been on. The view was good though.

This review is for the Ferris wheel and the Exploring Dinosaur roof-top amusement park at Dream Mall. For as old as the amusement park is, it was still a lot of fun. And I don't even have any kids. With a little bit of improvement (paint and new signage), the park's beauty could easily return. As of the time of this review, Admission for the Ferris wheel is now NTD$85 per person (~$2.75USD). Other rides are NT$100 per person per ride and you can buy value stamp cards for 5 "tickets" for NT$300. The staff doesn't speak very much English, so prepare to use Google Translate to ask your questions. I am 40 yrs old, 6ft 1in tall, and weight about ~150 kg, my friend was an average size man in his mid 20s. Ferris wheel - the wheel does not stop. You must enter and exit while it is moving, but it is very slow and was not difficult. There are cars with a transparent floor and ceiling. The enclosed car has strong AC. It takes about 15 minutes for a full revolution. Lots of good photos of the Kaohsiung Sky line. I imagine it far more breathtaking at night. Pedal coaster - This small roller coaster is made up of pedal-style bikes that you use to get around the course. At certain points, you you are assisted to make the incline. The staff did not know the weight limit for the pedal cars and were willing to let me "try." This made me nervous and the arms on the chair and the seatbelt let me know this ride wasn't for me. Train - this is a classic kid's train ride, designed to have the small child ride with a parent as the train coasts along a gentle track. The surroundings are rather unsightly. Lots of broken equipment in storage. Some dinosaur statues. I fit in the train but had no leg room at all, about half of what you would have on a basic economy airline seat. This is not about weight - this is about height. It was just me and my friend on the train - a train with a capacity to hold about 30 people. At the end of the train, the staff had to come and push the train the last few meters back to the loading platform. I think this must a regular practice meaning the train needs repairs. I made some funny videos on the train but not sure it was worth NT$100 if you don't have a small child. HA! Pirate ship - This is your classic back and forth pirate ship ride. You get higher and higher each time. I fit in the seat but the attendant did have to push the locking bar quite a bit to get it to latch. The bar is designed to pin down your legs. It was fun. There is also a free-style drop ride that we did not try. I would not have fit in the seats and my friend doesn't like that sinking stomach feeling. The other attractions are for small children - small cars, operating an excavator, small boats, and bumper-style cars. There are also some traditional carnival games (basketball, ring toss, balloon shooting, etc). We certainly enjoyed ourselves for the hour we were there, but many times that enjoyment came from joking about the park. But small children would enjoy it. And we did see many families enjoying it with their children. Come for the Ferris wheel, and if you are up for it, check out the pedal coaster and the pirate ship.

Overall worth a visit as views are great. However for the price there is only one circle arround and when others don't get in and out it is very fast to go around.

A mini ferris wheel on top of the Dream Mall. We took the cabin with the transparent floor, not much to see actually. See some steels. I think me and my friends were the only one taking the ride. The mini theme park was very empty when we were there at around 8pm. Nonetheless, great views of Kaohsiung city from the ferrish wheel.
