Belfort is a difficult place for (upmarket) cuisine. But the new small restaurant Le Lien has put an end to this misery. Modern, ambitious cuisine, super friendly service, pleasant ambience and dog-friendly. We are absolutely delighted. We had the menu with wine accompaniment. Apparently they specialise in Alsace wines, which we don't particularly like. When I frowned a little at the Riesling presented, we were immediately offered a wonderful alternative from the south. We're already looking forward to the autumn menu when we're back. Make sure you book well in advance, the small restaurant only has 8 tables and is full to capacity; no wonder, the food is simply marvellous.
